Selfies by Nala

This week's selfie is brought to you by our sweet, adorable, and adoptable friend Nala. As you can see, even at her young age, she already has some serious modeling skills!

Nala's story is really similar to that of our own PAWS alumna, Ava. After Nala was adopted at six months old to a family whose child had severe allergies, she went to live in another home. Unfortunately, that family had a dog who badly frightened her into hiding all of the time.

Thankfully, Nala is now at PAWS where she is safe and adored. And with love and attention from the volunteers and staff, she's quickly coming out of her shell and showing everyone how sweet and wonderful she is. She even decided to sit on my lap for a bit today! We know she'll be a great addition to a quiet forever home. One year-old Nala gets along with other nice cats, but as you can imagine, must not go to a home that has a dog. She's spayed, current on her vaccinations, and ready to find her happily ever after. (Almost) Wordless Marmalade

In all of our years (47+ of them combined) as shelter volunteers, we can't recall ever hearing a rescue story quite like that of our beautiful and adoptable friend Marmalade.

 

This two year-old sweetheart showed up as a stray and was being fed outside by a kind family. When they let Marmalade inside at her insistence, she climbed in to a laundry basket and promptly started giving birth. The family was on their way out of town for vacation, and brought Marmalade to PAWS. She had already had three kittens in the laundry basket, had another at the shelter, and had one more at her foster home!

 
 

Her five babies have all found (or are in the process) of finding their forever homes, and now it's her turn to find her happily ever after. Marmalade is super friendly (she loves people and gets along well with other nice cats) and affectionate, spayed, current on her vaccinations, and so, so ready to meet her forever BFF. Selfies by Thunder

Our awesome and adoptable pal Thunder took a pretty interesting route getting to PAWS. He was found wandering about by some kind students, who rescued and cared for him. That situation didn't work out perfectly, since it turns out the students were not allowed to keep animals on campus. So Thunder the wondercat finds himself here at the shelter waiting to find a forever home.

 

He is such a good boy! One year old Thunder is sweet, affectionate, and (as you can see) dashingly handsome. He loves people and gets along with other nice cats. He's neutered, current on his vaccinations, and ready to be your new best friend. Come meet Thunder today, and fall in love.

(Almost) Wordless Leonard

We sure hope you're ready for some serious gingery goodness, because today's post is all about our sweet, handsome, and adoptable pal Leonard. Check him out!

If you're wondering if Leonard is as wonderful as he appears in these photos (just look that adorable face!), the answer is an unequivocal YES. Rescued after being found in a boiler room, this one year-old is playful, super friendly (with both humans and other nice kitties), and ready to find his forever home. Leonard is neutered, current on his vaccinations, and waiting at PAWS to be discovered by his new best friend. Is it you?

Selfies by Raven

This beautiful housepanther is our super sweet and adoptable friend Raven. As you can see, this little ladycat knows a thing or two about posing for the camera!

 

Raven is about 1 1/3 years old, and came to PAWS after she had a litter of kittens (who we're told were adopted out by the humans caring for Raven). Now that she's spayed, this petite sweetheart is ready to be the baby in her own forever home. She gets along with other gentle cats and loves people, so she'll do well as a part of almost family. (Almost) Wordless Easton

Make way, make way. Handsome cat coming through! 😸 We want to introduce you to our adoptable friend Easton. Oh, and if you can believe it, this dude is just as sweet and gentle as he is handsome. How awesome is that?

 

Easton, who is about one year old, is so very happy to be safe and loved at PAWS. He was found wandering all alone on a wooded road, and are told he was in rough shape ... skinny, covered with fleas and ticks, and with a messed up belly. Fast forward to now, and Easton is happy to report all those issues are in his rear view mirror (i.e. he's totally recovered)! He is truly happy-go-lucky, loves everyone he meets, and will be a great best friend for whoever is fortunate enough to adopt him. Easton is neutered, current on his vaccinations, and negative for FIV and FeLV. Come meet him today, and fall in love! 

 

Mookie's Seussian Selfie

Did you know yesterday was Dr. Seuss' birthday? It's true. And look who raised his paw to take a selfie to help commemorate this special day. It's our our awesome and adoptable pal Mookie!

Mookie has a sweet personality and a calm and quiet nature. He's about 3 1/2 years old, gets along well with other nice kitties, and really enjoys the company of his human friends. Mookie is neutered, current on his vaccinations, and waiting at PAWS to find his happily ever after. To commemorate Dr. Seuss' birthday and Read Across America Week (which runs through Wednesday, March 6), we crafted a little Seuss-ian rhyme we hope helps our buddy Mookie get adopted.

At a rescue named PAWS, sits a feline delight,
With his coat black and white, a most debonair sight.

Mookie dreams of a home, filled with love that is true,
A home with a family, a forever one, too.

When people pass by, they can hear this guy purr,
In hopes that one or all of them will be stirred.

To take him on home, where he'll be loved and play,
A forever best friend, for all of his days.
