In all of our years (47+ of them combined) as shelter volunteers, we can't recall ever hearing a rescue story quite like that of our beautiful and adoptable friend Marmalade.
This two year-old sweetheart showed up as a stray and was being fed outside by a kind family. When they let Marmalade inside at her insistence, she climbed in to a laundry basket and promptly started giving birth. The family was on their way out of town for vacation, and brought Marmalade to PAWS. She had already had three kittens in the laundry basket, had another at the shelter, and had one more at her foster home!
Her five babies have all found (or are in the process) of finding their forever homes, and now it's her turn to find her happily ever after. Marmalade is super friendly (she loves people and gets along well with other nice cats) and affectionate, spayed, current on her vaccinations, and so, so ready to meet her forever BFF.
