Pepper's Superb Selfies

Look who took some purrfect selfies this week. It's our super handsome, panther-esque pal, Pepper!

Pepper's eye color appears differently in this photo. Cool, huh?

Pepper, who came to us as a stray, is very friendly and outgoing! He adores spending time with, and getting pets and attention from, his human buddies. He also happens to get along well with the other nice cats in his open room at PAWS. Oh, by the way, Pepper asked us to let you all know that he could also be happy as a one and only kitty, if that's how you roll.💖

Pepper is about three years old. He's neutered, current on his vaccinations, and negative for FIV and FeLV. He is on daily meds for a heart murmur, but please don't let that scare you off. He is happy-go-lucky, full of life, and ready to find his happily ever after. Come meet Pepper today, and fall in love.

It's Sunday, which means we're hopping along in the Sunday Selfies Blog Hop, hosted by our pals at The Cat On My Head. Be sure to check it out to see who else is hopping along (or to join in on the fun)!

(Almost) Wordless Forest

Did you know that every orange cat has stripes? They may be faint, but the stripes are there to be found on every orange domesticated kitty. Take our super friendly and ravishingly handsome pal Forest, for example. He's definitely got some classic tabby stripes. He also happens to have dreamy green eyes and the sweetest nose freckles!

Sadly, Forest came to PAWS after his young owner suddenly passed away. This poor fella lived alone in a home for more than a year with only occasional visits from his human's family until he was brought to the shelter. We can only imagine how confusing, scary, and lonely that time had been for this precious kitty. We are glad, though, that he is here now to be loved and cared for until he finds his new happily ever after. We can tell you that he absolutely adores attention from his human buddies! Forest is about 12 years old, but don't let that stop you from loving him; he's still quite active, with lots of living and loving left in his tank. He's neutered, current on his vaccinations, and negative for FIV and FeLV. Forest is ready to find his new best friend. Is it you?

Selfies with Manu

He may be young, but check our our new pal Manu absolutely rocking his selfies! As you can see, this handsome lad knows how to pose for the camera. His sweet and friendly demeanor really shines through, doesn't it?

Manu -- who is about 10 months old -- was found wandering outside and rescued from the elements by a very kind human,. She then brought him to PAWS, where he is being loved and cared for as he waits to be discovered. He is neutered, current on his vaccinations, and negative for FIV and FeLV. Manu is super friendly, playful, and gentle, and ready to find his happily ever after. We hope it finds him real soon.

(Almost) Wordless Hope

I recently saw a meme that read, "Hope changes everything." Three wise words that are applicable to life in general. But they also apply to our sweet and beautiful friend Hope. Just imagine how the world will change for both Hope and whoever is lucky enough to adopt her. 💖

Hope is about three years old, and came to PAWS after being found as a stray, after having two litters of kittens. She's spayed now, current on her vaccinations, negative for FIV and FeLV, and totally ready to find her forever loving home where she will be pampered. Everyone needs a little Hope in their lives, right? Come meet her today, and fall in love!

Magnificent Mina's Selfies

This week's selfie is brought to you by our super sweet and ultra floofy friend Mina. We love her luxurious fur, sparkling eyes, and gentle demeanor. Just take a look for yourself. 💖

Mina, who is only about two years old, came to PAWS after her elderly owner was no longer able to provide care. It's a sad story, but Mina really does seem to adjusting well to being at the shelter as she waits to find her new forever home. She's spayed, current on her vaccinations, and negative for FIV and FeLV. Looking for a new best friend to start the new year? What a coincidence! So is Mina, so come meet her today.

(Almost) Wordless - Who's Your Daddy?

Sorry about that title ... we just couldn't resist. But it's true. This devastatingly handsome mancat's name is, in fact, Daddy.

Looks like somekitty didn't appreciate that "Daddy" joke. 😆

If you're wondering about how he got his name, it came about because he is a good father! 3 1/2 year old Daddy was rescued as a stray with his girlfriend and their kittens. He is neutered, microchipped, current on his vaccinations, and negative for FIV and FeLV. Daddy is a little bit shy, but very sweet and super gentle. He likes to be pet once he knows you, and loves treats. He will even take them ever-so-gently from your hand. He's all dressed up in his tuxedo and ready to find his new best friend. Could it be you?

Franklin's Selfie

When we asked for a volunteer for the first PAWS cat selfie of 2022, look who raised his handsome paw. It's our new friend Franklin. Is he a looker, or what?

Franklin definitely knows how to rock a pose, but he's no diva. This mancat is as sweet and gentle as can be, and totally unaffected by his good looks. Franklin is about 1 1/2 years old, neutered, current on his vaccinations, and negative for FIV and FeLV. He's waiting to be discovered by his new forever family. We hope it finds him real soon.

(Almost) Wordless Bowie

What do you get when you combine a sweet and gentle nature with a whole lot of handsomeness? If you answered, "a super adoptable cat named Bowie," you're 100% correct!

Bowie's magnificent cheeks, plush coat, and amazing eyes (one blue, and one gold) are just a reflection of his equally stunning personality. It's true! This mancat is beautiful inside and out. He loves people, gets along with other nice cats, and is just an all-around good dude. Bowie, who is about 2 years old, is neutered, current on his vaccinations, and negative for FIV and FeLV. He's so ready to find a forever best friend. Is it you?

Happy MEW Year!

Happy Mew Year! Despite a year that was challenging in so many ways, there were definitely some things that brought sheer and utter joy. Those would include the myriad of (now former) PAWS cats who will be ringing in 2022 with their new FURever families. Those of you who've been here before probably recognize some of the faces in this collage of some of our friends who found their happily ever afters in 2021.

Clockwise, from upper left: Flash, Briggs, Baby, Juno, Holly, Panda, Rosie, Sienna, Sunshine, Otis, Cho, Dante, Sugar, Scarlet, Mojo, Misha

Here are the graduates for the month of December (through 12/30/21): Baby, Bill, Bradley, Brady, Briggs, Caramel, Casper & Bob, Cho, Clark, Dante, Espresso & Cappuccino, Flash, Hazel, Latte, Lucky, Mrs. Grey, Mojo, Morticia, Ninja Rose, Patchy, Ross & Phoebe, Sienna, Smokey, Sookie, Spooky, Star, and Willow.

Of course, every adoption makes our hearts happy, but perhaps none of them more so than that of our longtime shelter buddy Flash, who waited for 1 1/2 years to find her perfect loving forever home.

And to think … when 9 year-old Flash first arrived at PAWS, she was so terrified that we weren’t able to post about her for months because we literally couldn’t get a good photo of her! As the months went by, Flash felt more safe and comfortable with her human friends at the shelter. But yet she waited and watched as so many of the other cats in her open room came and went. Fast forward to last week. We’re pretty sure Flash was on Santa’s list of NICE kitties, and that he brought her exactly what she wanted for Christmas. Flash has been adopted by a patient and understanding family with an attached art studio that will be all for her. Flash will be safe, warm, fed, and loved, and can come out for pets and attention whenever she wants. All in her time.💖 We have the distinct feeling that she’ll be doing so often.

Congratulations to Flash, and all of the graduates and their forever families! We wish all of them, and all of YOU, a new year (and many, many more to come) filled with happiness, good health, and love.

HAPPY MEW YEAR!
