Natasha's Sunday Selfie

You know how tortoiseshell cats (aka torties) are supposed to have that sassy streak known as "tortitude?" Well, our adorable, adoptable buddy Natasha seems to have missed that memo, because she is absolutely, positively as sweet and friendly as can be. 

Gentle, playful and snuggly Natasha is about one year old. She loves people, and gets along fine with other nice kitties. She is spayed, micro-chipped, current on her vaccinations and negative for FIV and FeLV. Now, Natasha is waiting patiently at PAWS to find her new best friend. Is it you?

(Almost) Wordless Esmerelda

Our sweet and beautiful friend Esmerelda is all dressed up and ready to go (with whoever is lucky enough to adopt her)! Just look at that face, those whiskers, that fancy tuxedo and those white paws. Isn't she adorable? 💖

Esmerelda is about two years old. She loves people and gets along well with other nice cats, but does not care for dogs. Selfie Sunday Stellos / Cats Rule!

We're not sure how Stellos got her name, but we do know that she's sweet, playful (laser toy, anyone?) and just plain adorable. We also know now that this little one takes an awesome selfie!

Stellos is about 6 months old. She's spayed, micro-chipped, current on her vaccinations, and negative for FIV and FeLV. Did you know today is Cat World Domination Day? This brainchild of our dearly departed friend, Sparkle the Designer Cat, this special day is a celebration of something many of us already know ... that cats rule! (It also happens to be Sparkle's birthday.) The amazing Summer Samba (who now handles the blogging duties at Sparkle's blog) and her housemates Binga and Boodie are having a big Cat World Domination Day bash today. (Almost) Wordless Wednesday - Boots

Everybody adores our handsome buddy Boots. And why wouldn't they? This sweet and gentle dude loves being pet and snuggled, and hanging out with his human pals (i.e. the PAWS volunteers and staff members). 😻

Boots is just 10 years old, so he's still got lots of life to live, and plenty of love to give to whoever is lucky enough to adopt him. Oh, and check out his front paw in the third photo ... you'll see he's got some extra toes, which makes him even cooler! Boots is neutered, micro-chipped, current on his vaccinations, and negative for FIV and FeLV. He's so ready to find his happily ever after. Is it with you?

Alice's Sunday Selfies

When we asked for a volunteer for this week's Sunday selfies, look who raised her pretty little paw. It's our sweet, adoptable and gorgeous friend, Alice! What a pro ... she gave us a straight on selfie, and left and right profile ones, too!

Alice is only about one year old. She gets along well with other nice kitties, and would be a great addition to almost any home. Alice is spayed, micro-chipped, current on her vaccinations and has tested negative for FIV and FeLV, and will be a purrfect best friend for whoever is lucky enough to adopt her. Our 1000th Post!

Holy cat! Can you believe this is our 1000th post here at Animal Shelter Volunteer Life? We never dared to imagine when Tracey wrote our inaugural post that we'd be here all these years later, still helping raise awareness for the PAWS cats. And we almost certainly wouldn't be here without you! Thank you to all of our readers and friends all over the world, for being such sources of love, encouragement and joy. And for always rooting for us, and for the amazing and adoptable cats we're blessed to know through our time volunteering.

Here's to the next 1000 posts, and beyond!
