Each and every cat - like Wee Willie Winky, Pewter and Marcy - has its own unique look, personality and story. But every shelter cat also has a common wish ... to find a forever family of their very own.

We're thankful that there are places like
PAWS, where cats and dogs are given as long as it takes to find their own happily ever afters. And where they can be loved and cared for while they're waiting.
We're also thankful for our friends The Florida Furkids at the awesome
Friends FurEver blog! A few weeks ago, they had a
commentathon to celebrate
Mom Sharon's birthday. And guess what? OUR comment was randomly selected, so the proceeds from the commentathon went to the rescue of our choice! As you would imagine, we chose PAWS. So the Florida Furkids made a donation to the PAWS Cosmo Fund, which helps pay for medical expenses for very sick or injured pets in the shelter's care. How cool is that? Thank you Allie, Ellie, Raz and Cubby, for being such great friends (and Mom Sharon, for having a birthday). We love you, pals! :)

It is our wish too that every cat will find a loving forever homes. We were shelter cats that got very lucky.

Fortunately in Belgium we also have nice shelters and people who worry about the animals. Kim and Rosie are the only once I have coming not from a shelter. Arthur and Pookie yes, Arthur in Belgium, Pookie in London (she was my son's cat)

Mom says that looking at Marcy, Pewter and Winky are like looking into the past when our now angels, Thelma, Louise and Steamer were part of our household. They were special kitties, and we hope these three special kitties soon have new homes. The Florida Furkids are wonderpurr as is Mom Sharon; though, we may be a little prejudiced as Allie is Mauricio's girlfriend. Concatulations on winning that generous donation! It never ceases to amaze me how different and yet beautiful cats are. My mom always said there's lid for every pot and I hope a home for every cat!
