Beautiful Charlotte and her 5 kittens were found as strays on the streets of Norwalk, Connecticut.
The nice lady who found them already had cats of her own (and a new human baby, too), so she was unable to take in the little feline family. She DID begin feeding them, though, and even rigged her basement so that the Charlotte and her babies could come in for shelter from the elements.
Charlotte soon showed herself to be friendly and sweet, even exposing her belly to the lady for post-dinner rubs. As much as she loved Charlotte, the lady knew that this was not a situation she could maintain. She also realized that Charlotte could get pregnant again. And that non-fixed kittens beget more kittens. So she called PAWS, whose volunteers quickly scooped up Charlotte and her babies.
All of Charlotte's kittens have been adopted, and now it's this lovely ladycat's turn to find HER happily ever after. She's still a little shy after living on the streets, BUT as she has gotten more comfortable with the volunteers, she's been showing us that sweet, belly-rub-seeking side more and more. She loves being brushed and pet, and will do wonderfully in a home where she is allowed the time, love and understanding she needs to blossom as we know she will.
Gentle Charlotte is about 2 years old, spayed, micro-chipped and up to date on her vaccinations. She has tested negative for FIV and FeLV. Won't you open your heart and home to let Charlotte know there is a better life than the one she once knew?
