(Almost) Wordless Erica / Cats Rule!

When pretty Erica first came to PAWS, she was timid and nervous. This was completely understandable, since this sweet girl lived in an apartment building basement -- for a whole year -- after being abandoned by her former humans.
Fortunately, Erica is a smart, observant and forgiving kitty, who's quickly discovered that the volunteers and staff at the shelter are kind and patient, and a source of pets, food and warm laps.
This petite ladycat is no longer shy ... what a joy to see her run to the door to greet us when we visit her room. :)
Erica is about 5 years old. She's spayed, micro-chipped, and current on her vaccinations, and has tested negative for FIV and FeLV.  Now that her faith in humanity has been restored, she's ready for her very own forever home. Is that home yours?
=======

Did you know today is Cat World Domination Day? The brainchild of our dearly departed friend, Sparkle the Designer Cat, this special day is a recognition of something many of us already know ... that cats rule! (It also happens to be Sparkle's birthday.) Summer Samba (who now handles the blogging duties at Sparkle's blog) and her housemates Binga and Boodie are having a big Cat World Domination Day bash today. Be sure to stop by if you can!

Erica is such a beautiful girl. Her coat is so shiny and gorgeous!
I don't understand those people who just abandon such a precious life. She deserves forever home with loving family. I hope her future forever family will come to take her home very soon!

I'm so glad that Erica came out of her shell! She is an absolute beauty. It is really horrible that humans abandoned her. I will never quite understand what the problem with our species is.

She is so pretty. I don't like when people abandon pets to fend for themselves. If they are unable to care for them, there are humane options. We feed stray/feral cats and we see "new" ones from time to time. Why? I just don't get it. Glad things are working out for pretty Erica.

It always amazes me how forgiving animals can be, even when humans are so rotten to them. Excellent work on helping Erica learn that there are nice people in the world.
