FURever Home Friday :)

Hooray, it's finally Friday!  And better than that, it's FURever Home Friday!  We're excited to report that since our last adoption update, LOTS of PAWS kitties have found families of their very own.  Do you remember house panther Jet (who had been here since he was a kitten)?  And how about senior ladycat Penelope, sensitive Rupert, and silly Trina?  They've all been adopted! :)

Check out the full list of recent PAWS graduates!

Look at this picture of sweet lapcat Bailey in his new forever home!  Doesn't he look fantastic?  Bailey was adopted by our fellow volunteer Suzanne's daughter, and is doing great (and becoming MUCH more self-confident).

And finally, check out this happy tale from Roxy (formerly Caru):

She's doing great. Can't believe she's turning 1 year old next month! I actually renamed her Roxy. She's adapted really well to my house. From the first day I brought her home, she's clearly shown that she loves to eat and she's never had an issue with her new litter box. And when I adopted her, she had a slight heart murmur, which has become almost nonexistent now. I have hundreds of pictures of her, but here's one of her just hanging out by the kitchen window. When she's not busy playing with her toys, she loves to just sit on the window sills and look outside for hours at a time. Really appreciate everything that PAWS is doing. I couldn't imagine my life without her now! - Brian

Congratulations to all of the graduates and their forever families! :)

(Almost) Wordless Wednesday - Buster and Brian

Buster

Brian

Meet Buster and Brian.  Aren't they adorable?  Found as strays, these two cuties are still a little shy, but sit on the floor with them, and they'll crawl all over you to seek out pets and snuggles.  Oh, and they love to play - especially with wand toys!  Brian and Buster are incredibly bonded, and must be adopted together.  They are about one year old, neutered, microchipped and up to date on all their vaccinations.  They have also tested negative for FIV and FeLV.  Come meet these boys at PAWS today, and fall in love! :)

Our adoptable and handsome pal Max has caught himself a nice sunpuddle.  We hope you have a great and easy SUNday, too!  :)

Happy 5th Gotcha Day, Moosey!

It's our sweet Moosey's fifth Gotcha Day!

We are so amazingly lucky we found you, little buddy.  Thank you for making our home such a happy place every single day!

Love,

The Mom and the Dad

(Almost) Wordless Wednesday - Rusty

Remember beautiful Patches II?  And do you remember how we said she had a handsome, but camera-shy, brother named Rusty?  Well, we're happy to share that sweet Rusty is feeling a little more confident and self-assured these days. We even snapped this picture of him in the same snuggle sack that Patches II loves so much!

Rusty and Patches II are extremely bonded, and must be adopted together.  But since they're both such amazing kitties, we think that's a very good thing. :)

A Visit With Sophia

We wish everyone had the opportunity to really get to know the distinct personalities of all the PAWS cats.  So many of them have wonderful quirks that don't translate in pictures and words alone.  Take Sophia, for instance.

You can see from this picture that Sophia is a beautiful ginger tabby, and that she appears to be lounging on a lap.  But there's SO much more to Sophia.  She's interactive - a real conversationalist.  And a serious lap cat.  But how, we asked, could we help everyone (including potential adopters) see the Sophia we know and love?  And then Tracey had a great idea ... we could film a short visit with our sweet pal.  And so we present to you, "A Visit With Sophia." We hope you enjoy it.

Happy Sunday, everybody! :)

FURever Home Friday - Dottie :)

Do you remember Dottie, our beautiful 16-year old blind kitty friend who waited at PAWS for two years before she went into permanent foster with our friend, Maureen? Well, we thought you might enjoy a little update on how Dottie, Mo, Harvey the blind doggie, and Rosie the cat are doing. WE sure did! :)

Check out what Mo wrote (and the pictures she sent) when we asked her about Dottie!

Dottie loves her catnip toys! She's found toys that my other cat Rosie stowed under the bed and I haven't seen for quite some time. Dottie bats the toys around from one bedroom to another and when she runs, she sounds like a big dog :-) Dottie also has a funny "I'm crazy" meow when she plays with the toys.

I bought her a special, ritzy wand toy by Martha Stewart. It took me about 15 minutes to choose this one - it has 3 separate attachments and each has small jingle balls. Dottie loves it!

Some other factoids about this gal: She loves kisses on her head...loves being brushed around her head and cheeks...is learning some of the same phrases that I use with my eyeless dog Harvey - when I say "approach" Dottie lifts her head up to meet my hand because she knows she is going to get pet! She loves hanging out on her scratcher and happens to be a very messy eater :-)

It sounds to us like Dottie's making herself right at home. Thank you, Mo, for loving her so much and so well!

And finally, here's a video of Dottie, playing with that "special, ritzy wand toy" that Mo got her. :)

Happy Friday, everybody!  Oh, and be sure to come back on Sunday for a little tea and conversation with another ginger PAWS ladycat (Sophia). :)
