Selfies by Joe Hill

Joe Hill may be a little shy at first, but give him a chance, and you’ll see just how sweet he really is.

This handsome two-year-old grey tabby came to PAWS after being rescued with 25 other cats from a likely backyard breeding situation. Understandably cautious at first, Joe is already learning that he’s safe and loved. If you sit quietly in his open room, he’ll make his way over in his curious and gentle way, ready for some love and attention (chin scritches are his favorite).

Joe is neutered, microchipped, and up to date on his vaccinations. He does well with other nice cats and would thrive in a calm, patient home. Sometimes the quiet ones have the most to give. Come meet Joe Hill today, and fall in love.

Like our very own beloved Target, Joe Hill has tested positive for FIV, but it's important to remember this does not mean he can't live a long and happy life. According to Best Friends Animal Society, "FIV-positive cats can live normal lives, both in quality and duration. They just need to be monitored for infections and dental issues. But if they’re well cared for, they can be healthy, happy, wonderful pets." FIV cannot be passed to other cats through casual contact, or by sharing food, water, or a litter box. Nor can it be passed to people or other pet species.

We're participating today in the Sunday Selfies Blog Hop, hosted by our wonderful friends at The Cat on My Head. Be sure to check out who's hopping along and/or join in on the fun!

From Leah, our gang wants to send Meows, trills, and purrs for handsome tabby Joe Hill to find a good home! (Every time I try to sign in to Google it closes my email off, so ...)

Joe, you are one fine looking dude; though, you do look a bit wary. That had to be a really tough situation for you to be in, and we are ever so thankful you are now at PAWS. They're the best. We are sending lots of POTP for a quick adoption into a loving, forever home, which all kitties deserve. Best of luck. Thanks for hopping with us!
