This is our amazing and adoptable friend Herbie. And in case you're wondering, Herbie is indeed a love bug!
This handsome fellow is always the first to greet guests to the open room he shares with two other nice kitties. As you can see in the second photo, he's also quick to invite passers-by to come in for some catnip, snuggles, and good conversation. Herbie, who is is about 2 1/2 years old, is a happy-go-lucky dude who has been through a lot in his young life. After being rescued from the streets and adopted, his former humans moved and left him behind on the porch of their now-abandoned home, where he was found shivering during a snowstorm.
We are so grateful that he is safe and loved at PAWS. Herbie has quickly become a favorite of among the volunteers and staff, and gets along famously with other nice cats. Herbie is neutered, current on his vaccinations, and
ready to find his happily ever after. Come meet him today!
Herbie has tested positive for FIV, but it's important to remember this does not mean he can't live a long and happy life. According to Best Friends Animal Society, "FIV-positive cats can live normal lives, both in quality and duration. They just need to be monitored for infections and dental issues. But if they’re well cared for, they can be healthy, happy, wonderful pets." FIV cannot be passed to other cats through casual contact, or by sharing food, water, or a litter box. Nor can it be passed to people or other pet species.
It's Sunday, which means we're hopping along in the Sunday Selfies Blog Hop, hosted by our pals at The Cat On My Head. Be sure to check it out to see who else is hopping along (or to join in on the fun)!

Herbie is very good looking! Purring lots for him to find forever warm loving home soon. Hugs!
What an awesome guy! Herbert Lemon, 'Herbie' to his pals, is the main character in one of our favouite middle grade series, based in Eerie on Sea, and writen by Thomas Talor. This dude just reminds me Herbie, and I bet will be just as great a companion, too.

We don't understand people who can adopt a cat and then simply abandon them! They are EVIL!
Herbie is so gorgeous. We are purring so hard for him to find a PROPURR new home, with people who understand that a FOREVER home should be just that. ForEVER!!!
We're sorry Herbie had such a bad start in life and hope you find a wonderful forever home.
He looks, to me anyway, like a Ginger Tuxie! His markings are so like a Tuxie and he is beautiful. I will never ever understand how and why people can do a horrible inhumane thing like that. An innocent sweet, dependant life.
Poor Herbie has been through a lot. I purr he finds the purrfect home!
Ooh, I could eat Herbie up with a spoon!
Left alone in the snow, I just can't imagine ... What a magnificent orange boy! A chorus of purrs from us for Herbie to find the purrfect home!
Herbie is such a handsome hunk of gingerness. How could people adopt him then just abandon him. I hope he soon gets his true forever home.

Herbie's had a very rough start. Why bother adopting in the first place if you're just going to abandon them? Horrible humans. I hope Herbie finds the true forever home that he so deserves. If you are with him again, give him a cuddle and kiss from me. ♥
Oh sweetie, we're so glad you found this wonderful home as a stopover and wish you more than Good Luck to find a furrever home soon🙏Good Luck Pawkisses especially for you🐾😽💞

Oh Herbie, you sure didn't deserve to be left out in the cold and I can't say what I hope happens to those evil humans. You do look like a love bug and I hope you charm the right human super soon. Thanks for joining our Thankful Thursday Blog Hop!
Herbie, you lucked out being accepted at PAWS. I know you will find an inside cat position vacant before too long. FIV+ is no biggie for a handsome dude like you.
He is SO, SO sweet!!! I just want to cuddle with him.
Herbie dude, mew are just EPIC! We know the purrfect home is just a whisker away!
Herbie is a big furry sweetie pie.
Long haired cats seem to have a harder time getting adopted.
I hope his perfect match comes to PAWS soon!
xxoo

Poor Herbie, that's so horrible that he was abandoned in the snow. I'm so glad he's safe and loved at PAWS while he waits for his forever family. I always love the orange guys. :-)
Beautiful Herbie! It's heartbreaking to read but I am sure you'll find a wonderful forever home soon! Juno xo
Herbie is such a floofy handsome guy!
Oh Herbie...it is hard to believe that your original rescuers would abandon you. Cooper Murphy also had been abandoned in a snowstorm. You are indeed adorable. We are sending POTP that you soon have a brand new, loving family. Thanks for being this week's hopper. We are delighted we had the opportunity to meet you.
