Selfies with Layla the Manx

This is our brand new friend, Layla. You no doubt noticed the striking colors and patterns of her beautiful coat, right? Or maybe her big, round, inquisitive eyes?

You might have also noticed what you don't see on Layla. Namely, you don't see a long tail, since this pretty kitty is a Manx!  In fact, as you can see, Layla's got a cute little bunny tail!

Layla came to PAWS from another shelter with her kittens. who have all been weaned now. Momma Layla is all ready to be the baby in her forever home. She's playful, sweet and friendly. Layla is only about one year old, and is so ready to be find her happily ever after. Is it with you?

It's Sunday, which means we're hopping along in the Sunday Selfies Blog Hop, hosted by our pals at The Cat On My Head. Be sure to check it out to see who else is hopping along (or to join in on the fun)!

Layla is an absolutely gorgeous calico and Manx kitty. We cannot imagine her having to wait too long for her forever home. Mom never thought she would like having a kitty without a tail, but Sawyer has nothing but a hair tuft, and she and the rest of us think he is adorable. We wish this little girl could join our family. We are sending her lots of purrs and POTP that she will be adopted soon. Thanks for hopping. Layla looks like she might actually be part Japanese Bobtail! Which is a very special and fun breed. The Japanese Bobtails are active and playful and longer and leaner than Manx cats (and they feature that tail bump, like Layla), while Manxes are rounder and rumpier.

I agree with others who said Ms Layla is STUNNING! She just might have the most beautifully patterned/colored fur I have ever seen! Shared her on Cody's page, but I have a feeling she won't need OUR help finding her furever home! xoxo

She's beautiful. TW shed a few teaers cos she reminded her of Gertrude, a manx who she used to feed a long time ago. Gertrude was so tame, TW could put a flea collar on her and prolly would have been able to dress up but that hadn't been thought of in those days.
