(Almost) Wordless Wednesday - Gomez

This is our handsome new pal, Gomez. This sweet and gentle senior mancat finds himself at PAWS through no fault of his own. You see, his human had to enter a nursing home, and Gomez was not able to go along. How sad for both of them.

Gomez is a still a bit shell-shocked about being at the shelter, but we can definitely see he is a really nice guy. Right now, he feels safer in the confines of his cage, but his intake card says he is a lap cat, and that he is outgoing! So we're looking forward to seeing that part of his personality soon. :)

Gomez is neutered, micro-chipped, current on his vaccinations and negative for FIV and FeLV. At 14 years old, he also qualifies for the PAWS Senior Pension Plan, which means there is no adoption fee, and he gets an annual wellness exam, vaccinations and blood work analysis for free for the rest of his life. All Gomez needs now is a second chance. Come meet him today!

Poor Gomez. When my human's dad had to go into assisted living, my human made sure to find a place where he could have his cat, and she was lucky to find one. I wish this was possible with all elderly humans and their cats.

Poor Gomez, he tugs at the heart strings. He reminds us of a thinner, older Derry. His human must miss him terribly. Sending him purrs and crossing our paws that another human gives him a loving and wonderful home for the remainder of his years. ♥

oh my this just breaks my heart....I wish Nursing Homes would allow cats to come. I bet Gomez's human had him his entire 14 years and that is devastating. Gomez is a Cody look-alike!!!!!

It just breaks my heart when seniors are separated from their pets. It so many cases it's all they have, and then that's gone too :(

Hello, dashingly handsome Gomez! It's okay to be shy. You'll come out of that shell, and someone will surely whisk you away to your new forever home. Purrs and prayers to you, Gomez!

P.S. Thank you for the update on Gomez! We are so happy to know that he is being cared for by such loving people as you.

It's always so sad when the seniors end up in shelters. I hope Gomez is adopted soon. He looks a little bit like our Frankie; it also takes Frankie some time to warm up to new people.

Gomez, you have a winning face in so many ways! Our Mama thinks you look like such a character! We hope someone scoops you up and loves you up and takes extra great care of you . And we hope that your new family lets your first family know you are doing well! Until then, don't stay scared for too long; you are now amongst new friends :)
