Today is Dr. Seuss Day, and fans around the world are celebrating the birthday of Dr. Theodore Seuss Geisel, the famous author and illustrator who touched the lives of so many. It's an annual tradition for the pet blogging community to join in the fun by taking part in the "Dr. Seuss Day Challenge." While we were working on today's post, we took a peek at the one we did last year, before sweet Moosey had flown to the Rainbow Bridge.
Seeing our beloved Angel Moosey in his stripey hat, and Gracie and Zoe in their Thing-y wigs, definitely made us smile. (So much, in fact, that we're posting that same picture today.) The happy memories this picture brings to mind also reminded us of one of our favorite Dr. Seuss quotes:
"Don't cry because it's over. Smile because it happened."

It's a good thing my human is not a big Dr. Seuss fan. Otherwise she probably would have hunted down a cat-sized version of that hat - for real! Who knows, she still might.

It's always bittersweet for me to see photos of my angel cats. I love seeing evidence that they were happy (like your kid in the hat!), but I miss them so much. One day I'll get to the smiling part. But it's not here quite yet.
