(Almost) Wordless Wednesday - Getting there

Despite their initial no-hiss, no growl introduction, the cats have let us know they still have a few issues to work out.  Zoe is timid when it come to interactions with Moosey.  This is an improvement, since she was scared before.  And Gracie is protective of her sister, so it seems that getting Zoe and Moosey to be okay with each other will be a key.  Moosey is fascinated by, and curious about, his new sisters.
Gracie and Moosey on the same bed!  Zoe was hiding in the other room...
Tonight, we all had another nice hour of together (in the same room) time.  We'll take it at the kitties' pace, and know we will get there eventually.  (Sorry for the quality of the second photo, which was taken at night.)

When it comes to introductions, we kitties always set the pace, and smart humans like you recognize that.

Dear Moosey,

I know how your new sisfurs feel, cause it wasn't so long ago that I was in their shoes. Just know that all will be well... Mom helped us with some Reiki and flowers, but mostly, just with some time. You look like you are being good and patient, just send them your love and you all will be fine.

It shows that Moosey cannot wait to be friends with his new sisfurs. And the girls .... well, they are girls, enough said :)

Awwww! They are all so cute!!

They will learn to be friends someday. It took Milita a long time before she accepted that the crazy orange kitten was there to stay. They are friends now though.

I'm sure you know this, but be sure to make all their time together positive. Give treats or food or play. They'll learn to associate good things with each other.

Hugs,
Carmine, Milita, and Jewel

So Zoe no likey Moosey?

No worries.... Moosey, get those treats and lets prepare a kitty party.

Just keep it up guys. I'm confident they'll get along like huggies and cheese.

They will work it out. It all just takes lots of time. They just have to learn to trust each other. It looks like Moosey so wants to be friends. Take care.

Good luck getting them all to be friends. At least you are making progress. :)

That's a beautiful trio you have there. If anybody can manage a kitty introduction, it's you two. I am totally confident that we'll see all three cats on the bed soon.

Hope you reach your goal of everyone getting along. Or at least get to point where all can co-exist peacefully. That level of domestic camaraderie will never happen in our household, unfortunately. Purrs and hugs, Lily Olivia, Misty May, Mauricio, Giulietta, Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth and Calista Jo

Time works wonders. A few steps forward, a step back and in the end a loving happy family. In our house, now that Taiko is thinking of White Dog Ranch as home, he has become a little possessive of the peeps and sometimes tends to be a "gatekeeper" to the rest of us. Momma is working to reassure him that it is OK if all of us get a turn and he doesn't need to fear.

Don't worry with a little more time you'll see that Moosey and Zoe will bond. With Macchia and Lupetto it tooks about a couple of months before Macchia accepted Lupetto, but from then on they have become the best of friends! :)
