Tabby-Torbie-Tuesday

Some tantalizing and terrific tabby-ness for your Tuesday, courtesy of our adoptable PAWS friends Merritt, Sandy and Truffle...

Merritt is beautiful and fun.  This gorgeous torbie LOVES to play, and gets along with some other cats.  She'd do best in a home without small children or dogs, and where her people understand that sometimes even the most loving cat needs her space.

Sweet, soulful Sandy came to PAWS when her owner had to enter a nursing home.  This extremely affectionate lapcat has energy (you should see her jumping skills!) that makes it hard to believe she's 16 years old.  Sandy loves playing, snuggling, and being brushed.  She is eligible for PAWS' "Seniors for Seniors" program, and also a lower adoption fee for seniors.

Truffle may not be a lapcat, but that doesn't mean she's not affectionate.  She loves weaving in and out of the PAWS staff and volunteers' legs, and being pet on the head and behind her ears.  This 7 1/2 year-old loves relaxing in sunpuddles (who doesn't?), and is very playful, too.  You can read more about Truffle here.

All three of these terrific tabby girls are available for adoption at PAWS.  They are spayed, micro-chipped, current on all their vaccinations, and have tested negative for FeLV and FIV.

Oh darling girls...sweetest little ones. ready for a family..a mamma or a daddy or even both. I think that I myself had to be surrendered because my former person was ill or in a nursinghome. I am so loving. Vets office said that is what they thought they understood.

Sweethearts, please find your homes. kisses.

We thinks it is so sad when kitties have to find a new home when their owners aren't able to care for them anymore.

Today, Mom met a 17-year-old kitty and her sister who came to Cat Care when their owner passed away. Thankfully, they are being adopted by one of the staff.

We hope little Sandy will find a new loving home, too!

Best of luck to all these beautiful girls :) They are very adorable!

Rooting for all the beautiful affectionate tabby girls to get homes. We are certainly sympathetic to Merritt's need for a little space. (We're curious if she was named after the parkway ;) )

I always find it so sad that when a cat owner has to go to a nursing home and is not allowed to take his cat with him. It's already hard to go in there and then without his companion. Luckily they start here to allow cats under certain conditions, to stay with their owner and I hope there will be more and more nursing homes who will accept that !
Good luck for this sweetie !

Awww, they are all so beautiful and precious!...We hope they all find forever homes with loving families; how terrible for Sandy's Mom to have to give up her 16 year old baby, that is just heartbreaking...Happy Wednesday, dear friends=you guys make such a difference!...kisses...Calle, Halle, Sukki, Mommy Cat, Daddy Cat

WOW--THOSE torbies looks really nice and sweet--unlike the torbie that already lives here. Hmm. I think I may need to move...
