Now that Conrad has gotten used to the sights and sounds of the shelter, he LOVES hanging out with his human volunteer pals. Today, after he sat on my lap for a while, this sweet and handsome boy helped Tracey read the newspaper. :)
To see more pictures of our pal Conrad, check out our fellow PAWS volunteer's blog, Sundays at the Shelter.

Is it even possible to read a paper without a cat to assist (and supervise)?
Conrad is a lovely kitty. We hope he will find his forever home soon. Thankyou for visiting and leaving your purrs and well wishes. Sorry I don't have any good news about MoMo.

Thanks for joining us for weekend cat blogging!
How wonderful of you to volunteer your time, and take these cats in.
Handsome AND well informed about the world! Conrad will be an asset in lots of ways when his perfect forever family finds him!
Handsome AND intelligent? He's the whole package!
What a wonderful thing you do, never refusing a cat. I wish all the shelters were the same in my area. When I called one shelter in Littleton, NH. in search of getting some financial assistance for the stray I was feeding, she said "I'll call you right back". When she called me back she said "no we can't take her" I said "I didn't ask you to take her, I just want to get some help so I can get her spayed and have all the inoculations she needs". She said "oh well that's a different program we have nothing to do with that. But I can email you a link for the information on where to inquire for the paper work". Well good thing I have not relied on any assistance from her, as it's been over a week and she still hasn't gotten back to me. And there is another humane shelter in Lancaster, that will almost always refuse cats.
However I'm sure these places get overwhelmed with the need to help and save so many cats and dogs on limited funds.
So far the best place for help i have received is Riverside Rescue. Where I already made an appointment for early March. My granddaughter brought 5 cats there at once to be spayed. So counting all their inoculations. I think it cost her $70.00.
And I did receive a call from Ally Cat Allies, informing me that they would be sending the necessary paper work.
Aww such a helpful cat with the newspaper reading! :)
This was my first time taking part in weekend cat blogging and that's how I found your blog.
Conrad - you are soooo handsome! You're in great hands at PAWS. We hope you find a forever home very soon.
OH Conrad, your sweet picture just wraps around my mom's heart.
We like your labor as home of reception. Many organizations of animal voluntary work helping cats and dogs of the same way here in Spain. We hope that they have a good home soon.
Thanks for visiting us, you are always welcome!
Purrrrrrrrrrrrrrrs.
Greetings,
Our heart always goes out to these beautiful creatures in need of love, comfort and the kindness of human touch. We are so very happy that you and the other volunteers are there for them.
Warmest regards,
Miss Kitty and Egmont
He looks like a great helper for paper reading!
