On this Thanksgiving Day...

...we have so much to be grateful for. Thank you to all who adopt shelter animals and/or take in stray pets ... you recognize just how special these wonderful creatures are, and you've opened up your loving homes to them. You are saving lives, and for that we are eternally grateful. Thank you also to those kind souls who help shelter animals, serve as fosters, care for feral cats, and/or participate in trap-neuter-return programs.

We're also thankful for the many friends we've made through our blog. Thank you for sharing your lives with us, and for sharing in our joys (and in our tears when stories didn't have the happy endings for which we had hoped). Your wonderful words and support are often sources of strength and encouragement in both good and bad times.

There are, of course, many other things in our lives for which we are grateful. But because we love animals so much, the things above are high on our list. Thank you all again, and for those who celebrate Thanksgiving ... ENJOY!

Happy Thanksgiving to you too, Kevin & Tracey! I'll be picking up two new kittens later today and bringing them in to PAWS - they are from that same feral colony in E. Norwalk that is out of control. I am so thankful for the woman there who keeps bringing in all of these kitties, getting them vetted, and holding them until PAWS can take them. There are some saints out there!

Happy Thanksgiving! The Shelter and all the loving and tireless volunteers at PAWS are on my gratitude list. Now that it's getting cold outside I think about all the cats and kittens who are safe, warm, cuddled, and fed while they are waiting for their new homes.

Belated Thanksgiving wishes to you! I've never known anything BUT shelter or stray kitties, aside from the one I got from answering the 'Free Kittens' ad in the newspaper, so I can't say how they compare to one I would have bought, but I have adored every single one who has shared my home. Thank you for your rescue efforts - the people who work in animal rescue and run animal shelters are truly special. :)

We are so far behind - we hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving! We hate that we can't visit like we want to anymore since mom's computer at work is all blocked up. But we are glad that we got to meet you and hope you know that even if we don't always make it by we are thinking of you and all the wonderful things you do for the animals who need help!!

I see you have cousins in Japan! My parents live in Gunma, which is located north of Tokyo. I visited Kobe once before. It is a beautiful city. I'd like to visit Hiroshima some day.

Still loving the kitteh collage -- without the Thanksgiving banner, it would make a great "all purpose" card for cat owners!

We're having a little pet food giveaway on the RPO blog, so be sure to come by and enter!
