Look who raised their paws this week to take this week's selfies. It's our very own beloved PAWS graduates, Ava and Target! As you can see, these cuties are combining their cat-blogging memes with a mashup of "Easy Like Sunday" and "Sunday Selfies." (Almost) Wordless Mavis

Our new friend Mavis is absolutely stunning. This gorgeous girl has silky black fur and, to make her even more unforgettable, a fluffy grey mane that gives her the look of a tiny lioness!

 

 

Mavis is affectionate, snuggly, gentle, and curious. She absolutely adores people and loves spending quality time with her human pals. According to the description on her cage card, she came to PAWS when “the dynamics in her home had changed.” We don’t know exactly what that means, but we do know this: Mavis is wonderfully people-friendly and ready for a fresh start!

 

 

Mavis would prefer to be your one and only. She hasn’t had the best experiences with dogs or other cats, but the upside is clear -- whoever adopts her will get all of her love and attention, with no sharing required.💖

 

Two-year-old Mavis is spayed, microchipped, up-to-date on her vaccinations, and completely ready to move into her forever home. Could it be with you?

 

Selfies by Micha

Our beautiful friend Micha came to PAWS with her sister after their family moved and was no longer able to keep them. While her sister adjusted quickly and has already found a new home, sensitive Micha struggled at first with the unfamiliar sights, sounds, and smells of the shelter.

 

Don't worry ... Micha's story gets better. With time, patience, and lots of love from her human pals, she has begun to reveal her true personality -- and what a delight it is! She’s sweet, playful, and affectionate. Want proof? Just take a look at these photos from our recent visit with Micha. The session was filled with trackball games, headbonks, and plenty of snuggles.

 

At just three years old, Micha is ready to blossom in a patient, loving home. She's spayed and current on her vaccinations and so deserves her very own happily ever after -- all she needs is a chance. Could she be the best friend you’ve been waiting for? Come meet Micha today, and fall in love!

(Almost) Wordless McFlurry

Meet our sweet, sensitive friend McFlurry! This handsome dude has been through a lot in his young life, but we have no doubt whatsoever there's a lifetime of happiness in his future.

 

McFlurry was bounced from home to home, and even found himself out on the streets for a time. Because he’s such a gentle boy, life outdoors was really hard on him. We're so glad he's now being loved and cared for at PAWS. At about 2 ½ years old, McFlurry is ready to leave the uncertainty of his past behind. He gets along well with other nice cats, and while he can be shy with new people, he warms up beautifully once he feels safe. We know this sweet boy will positively blossom in a quiet, loving home with his forever family.

McFlurry is neutered, current on his vaccinations, and ready to meet the people who will give him the safe, happy life he deserves. Come meet him today, and fall in love!

Like our beloved Target, McFlurry has tested positive for FIV (feline immunodeficiency virus), but it's important to remember this does not mean he can't live a long and happy life. According to Best Friends Animal Society, "FIV-positive cats can live normal lives, both in quality and duration. They just need to be monitored for infections and dental issues. But if they’re well cared for, they can be healthy, happy, wonderful pets." FIV cannot be passed to other cats through casual contact, or by sharing food, water, or a litter box. Nor can it be passed to people or other pet species.

Cute alert! Cute alert! Take a look at our awesome and adoptable new friend Adobo, and you'll know we're not exaggerating. This little dude is as cute as can be.

 

This sweet and playful boy may be brand new at PAWS, but we can already tell you that he's a superstar! After being found as a single kitten in Bridgeport with no mother around, he was fostered as a bottle baby. He got along famously with everybody -- cats, dogs, and humans -- in his foster home. Now 5-month-old Adobo is neutered, microchipped, current on his vaccinations, and oh-so-ready to find his happily ever after. Could it be with you?

(Almost) Wordless Harriet

Check out our sleek and stunning housepanther friend Harriet. Isn’t she gorgeous?

 

Harriet’s story began in the most heartbreaking way. She was found abandoned in an open cat condo on the sidewalk, along with her four newborn kittens. Though she was wearing a collar, her heartless former humans had clearly abandoned her. Thankfully, Harriet never gave up. She bravely protected her babies until the entire little family was rescued and safe.

 

Harriet proved to be an amazing mom, and now that her kittens have been weaned, it’s Harriet’s turn to finally just be young, playful, and carefree.

 

At only about a year and a half old, Harriet is ready to live the good life. She’s spayed, up to date on her vaccinations, and full of personality. With her sleek black fur, confident yet gentle nature, and sweet, affectionate ways, she’s just about purrfect! Harriet enjoys people, loves attention, and gets along well with other nice cats. She’s curious, playful, and ready to be someone’s beloved companion. Come meet her at PAWS, and fall in love!

 

Selfies by Thumbelina

Our darling and ultra-adoptable friend Thumbelina isn’t just a pretty face -- though her gorgeous silver tabby coat, white tuxedo, and dainty white paws certainly make her a showstopper! 

At just about 1 1/3 years old, Thumbelina has already proven herself to be a remarkable mama. She came to the shelter as a pregnant young cat, and after giving birth to a beautiful litter of kittens, she did a wonderful job raising and weaning them. Now that her little ones are ready for adoption, it’s Thumbelina’s turn to be someone’s beloved baby.

 

This sweet girl is affectionate, friendly, and loves to snuggle. And she also has a playful side! Thumbelina adores people and also gets along well with other nice cats, making her the perfect addition to just about any loving home.
