(Almost) Wordless Magik, plus Come Back Tomorrow!

Check out our gorgeously floofy new friend Magik. As you can see, she's beautiful. Can you also see from her photos that she's as sweet as they come? And that she loves pretty much everyone?

We just met her for the first time this past weekend, and we can tell you she really enjoyed hanging out with us (the feeling was mutual, in case you are wondering). Magik obviously loves people, and we are told she is also fine with other nice cats. This two year-old is spayed, current on her vaccinations, and negative for FIV and FeLV. Selfies by Mantis

Our gentle and friendly pal Mantis raised his paw when we were looking for a volunteer for this week's selfie. As you can see, he really knows what he's doing in front the camera. So handsome!

Mantis is about one year old. He came to PAWS after his former humans just left him behind when they moved. (Once again: adopting a pet is a lifetime commitment! If you are not able to make it, you have no business adopting. Just saying.) Anyway, despite the actions of his former humans, Mantis is still very trusting and loves his people pals here at the shelter. He also seems to be fine with other nice kitties. Mantis is neutered, current on his vaccinations, and negative for FIV and FeLV. This awesome mancat is definitely ready to find a for real forever home. Could it be yours?

(Almost) Wordless Starlight

We don't know how our sweet, beautiful, and adoptable friend Starlight got her name, but maybe it's because of how her eyes twinkle as she gazes skyward?

Besides her amazing eyes and plush tabby coat, Starlight has a shining purrsonality that will make her an amazing best friend for whoever is lucky enough to adopt her. She came to PAWS after someone left her in a taped-up box outside of the town's animal control building. We'll refrain from judgement since don't know the back story, but we are glad she's now safe, and getting the love and care she so deserves. She loves people and gets along well with other nice kitties. Starlight is about 5 years old and current on her vaccinations. She'll be getting spayed on September 26. Then she will be ready to find her happily ever after! 💖

Starlight has tested positive for FIV, but it's important to remember this does not mean she can't live a long and happy life! According to Best Friends Animal Society, "FIV-positive cats can live normal lives, both in quality and duration. They just need to be monitored for infections and dental issues. But if they’re well cared for, they can be healthy, happy, wonderful pets." FIV cannot be passed to other cats through casual contact, or by sharing food, water, or a litter box. Nor can it be passed to people or other pet species.

Sometimes, a cat's name kind of speaks for itself. Take for instance, our handsome and adoptable friend Ash, whose moniker was almost certainly based on the color of his sleek and gorgeous fur.

Of course, there's more to a kitty than just the color of his fur. We're talking, of course, about purrsonality, temperment, and character. It just so happens Ash is a star in all of those areas, too! This two year old is as gentle as they come. And while he's a little bit cautious with people he does not know, if you introduce yourself slowly, be prepared to be loved on! We know he will absolutely blossom in a loving forever home. Ash is neutered, current on his vaccinations, and negative for FIV and FeLV. Meet him today, and fall in love!

(Almost) Wordless Calliope

Meet our gentle and adoptable friend Calliope. If you can believe it, this ladycat is as sweet as she is beautiful.

As you can see, Calliope is a dilute tortie. But she was apparently absent from calico cat school the day they were handing out "cattitude," because she's sweet through and through! At just two years old, she ended up at PAWS after being left behind when her former humans moved away.😠 We are glad she is here, though, safe and loved until she finds her true happily ever after. Calliope is spayed, current on her vaccinations, and negative for FIV and FeLV. Come meet your new best friend Calliope today!

Check out our handsome and adoptable buddy Kip. Don't you just love how he's rocking that jaunty moustache, white bib, and magnificent whiskers?

Those who are lucky enough to meet him in person quickly learn there's a whole lot more to love about this two year-old than just his good looks. Laid back Kip also happens to have a sparkling purrsonality, and gets along with everybody he meets -- felines and humans alike! Does that mean he's kind of purrfect? Why yes, it does! 💖

(Almost) Wordless Twizzy

Are you one of those folks who's a little down that summer is coming to an end? If so, our adoptable friend Twizzy is here to lift your spirits. We mean really, how can you look at her and not smile?

So here's Twizzy's story as we understand it. This lovely little ladycat was originally adopted from PAWS as a young kitten, but was recently returned because things were not working out. We don't know exactly what that means, BUT we are glad Twizzy is back with us where she will be loved until she finds her real forever family. And we know she will! She is a sweetheart who loves being pet and getting attention from her human friends. She also gets along with other nice cats. 11 month-old Twizzy is spayed, current on her vaccinations, and negative for FIV and FeLV. She's so ready for love! Are you?
