Sweet Potato Selfies

Our beautiful and adoptable friend Sweet Potato really lives up to her name. We can definitely tell you that this petite kitty is as sweet as pie!

It's no joke to say that Sweet Potato has come a long way. In fact, she found her way to PAWS all the way from Tennessee! A veterinary student from our area was working in a clinic in Tennessee when she met Sweet Potato, who was brought there as a pregnant stray. The vet student couldn't bear to see SP return to a life outside, and brought her back to Connecticut to find her a loving forever home. She gets along well with other cats, and adores people. One year-old Sweet Potato is spayed, current on her vaccinations, and negative for FIV and FeLV. All she needs now is a new best friend. Could it be you?

(Almost) Wordless Kittens!

File it under, "Wow, that really happened?" Sweet and super playful siblings Bo Peep, Hamm, and Jesse each took a break to pose just so in the PAWS Room 1 cat tree. We're pretty sure we couldn't get them to cooperate like this again, even if we had 100 tries. 😂

These cuties, who are about 3 months old, are just some of the many kittens waiting at the shelter to find their forever homes. All PAWS kittens must be adopted with another kitten. Wouldn't it be great if these babies can go to one lucky family? Come meet them today, and fall in love!

This is our new friend Crystal. Isn't she cute? We think she did a great job with her selfies, and that they really show off her sweet and beautiful personality.

What you won't know from these photos is that Crystal also happens to be quite the conversationalist! We had lots of fun chatting with her at PAWS today, and giving her lots of petting and attention. She loves humans and gets along with other nice cats, too. She was a very young mama, which may have something to do with her being on the smallish side. (Heck, she kind of looks like a kitten herself!)

Crystal is spayed, current on her vaccinations, and negative for FIV and FeLV. She's all dressed (in her tuxedo) and ready to find her happily ever after. Could it be with you?

(Almost) Wordless William

Our buddy William hasn't been at PAWS for very long. But we're not exaggerating when we tell you he's already a favorite among the volunteers and staff. For starters, he's got the sweetest, most friendly disposition. He also happens to be super adorable. Here, see for yourself!

 

This polydactyl mancat, who is just 8 months old, came to the shelter when his former humans left him behind. Since this is a family-friendly blog, we'll just say his former humans don't deserve William (or any other pet, for that matter), and he deserves love from a real forever family. In the meantime, he's getting lots of attention from the humans at PAWS. William gets long with other nice cats and is fine with children, too. He's neutered, current on his vaccinations, and negative for FIV and FeLV. All he needs now is a happily ever after. Could it be with you?

You can probably imagine our delight when our sweet and beautiful friend Jolene raised her paw to volunteer to pose for this week's selfies. Didn't she do an amazing job?

This gentle ladycat gave birth to her kittens at PAWS! When Jolene was first rescued, she started to deliver in the car, so her rescuer brought her to the shelter. She gave birth to three gorgeous little ones here, who have all since been adopted. Now wonderful Jolene is ready to find her happily ever after, too. She gets along well with other nice cats, and loves people. Jolene is spayed, current in her vaccinations, and negative for FIV and FeLV. Come meet her today, and fall in love!

(Almost) Wordless Finnley

Looking for a forever infusion of love and laughter in your life? You are? Then look no further than our sweet, handsome, and adoptable pal Finnley.

This young (one year old), happy-go-lucky mancat is outgoing, and always the first to greet visitors to the open cat room he currently calls home. His likes include: people, other nice cats, belly rubs, having his polydactyl paws gently rubbed, and catnip. Well, strike that last one, because Finnley doesn't just "like" catnip. He definitely LOVES catnip, and that makes for some fun-to-behold antics for anyone lucky enough to witness them. Finnley is neutered, current on his vaccinations, and negative for FIV and FeLV. He's such an awesome boy. Come meet Finnley today!

Watermelon's Selfie

Our pal Watermelon is just about purrfect. As you can see from his selfie, he's 100% handsome. Would you believe he's also gentle, sweet, and friendly? It's true!

 

And just look at his amazingly floofy tail!
