(Almost) Wordless Brothers

If you're a fan of handsome, sweet, and gentle cats, look no further. Because we've got TWO of them to introduce to you today. Brothers Rain and River are all those things, and more!

River and Rain ended up at PAWS when their owner could no longer care for them. These guys were littermates, and as you can see from the first photo, they can very often be found together (and must be adopted as a pair). Both are neutered, current on their vaccinations, and negative for FIV and FeLV. They love people (snuggles, pets, and lots of purring are always on the docket when we visit!), and get along famously with the other cats in their open room. Rain and River will be the most amazing best friends to whoever is lucky enough to adopt them. Come meet them today!

Best buddies Merlin and Penelope came to PAWS after their owner passed away. Despite the heartbreaking circumstances of how they found their way here, these two sweethearts are really adjusting well, and winning their way into the hearts of their feline roommates and human friends alike.

Merlin and Penelope are both about 5 years old, and it's abundantly clear they were so well-loved by their human. They are both friendly, sweet natured, and social. As you can see from the third and fourth photos, they love people and get along well with other nice kitties! Merlin is neutered, and Penelope is spayed. Both are current on their vaccinations, and negative for FIV and FeLV. They are a bonded pair, so they must be adopted together, but as we always say in such cases, that just means double the love! Merlin and Penelope are so ready to find their new forever home. Is it with you?

(Almost) Wordless Jojo

 Check out our adorable and adoptable friend Jojo. Isn't she beautiful?

As gorgeous as she is, we're happy to tell you Jojo is more than just a pretty face! She also happens to be sweet, gentle, and a big fan of spending time with her human pals. She definitely likes being pet, is quite the accomplished purrer, and gets along with other nice kitties, too. Jojo is about one year old, spayed, microchipped, current on her vaccinations, and negative for FIV and FeLV. As you can see, she's all dressed in her tuxedo and ready to find her forever family. Our young and playful friend Harriet took a little break to show off another side of herself. As you can see, that would be her "beautiful, selfie-taking" side.

We can tell you from firsthand experience that Harriet loves being pet and getting attention from her human friends. She does get along with other nice cats, but her human buddies seem to be her favorites. She ended up at PAWS when her owner was no longer able to provide care. Three year-old Harriet is spayed, microchipped, current on her vaccinations, and negative for FIV and FeLV. She is such an amazing kitty, and she is so ready to find her new happily ever after. (Almost) Wordless Ukie

We're not actually sure how our friendly and handsome new buddy Ukie got his name. We wondered what language it came from, and of all the possibilities we found, one of the Japanese ones seemed really appropriate. As it turns out, there are multiple Japanese characters for "Ukie," and one of them means "Hope." Pretty fitting for a shelter kitty waiting for his happily ever after, isn't it?

Can you tell from these photos that Ukie is a champion purrer? Probably not, but take our word for it when we tell you that's the case! He's still a little nervous about being at PAWS, but is really coming out of his shell, and loves being pet and hanging out with his human pals. Ukie is about 2 years old, neutered, current on his vaccinations, and negative for FIV and FeLV. Here's HOPING his new forever family finds him very soon.

Kiki's Selfies / Happy Father's Day

In case you're wondering which of the PAWS cats volunteered for this week's selfie, wonder no more. It's our super friendly, gentle, and beautiful friend Kiki!

Kiki is not just beautiful. As an orange female tabby cat, she also happens to be pretty rare! Did you know that only 20 percent of orange tabby cats are female? This 5 year-old came to the shelter when her owner had to move to a place that did not allow cats. Kiki is spayed, current on her vaccinations, and negative for FIV and FeLV. (Almost) Wordless Bugsy and Strawberry

We had the pleasure this past weekend of meeting sisters Bugsy (she's the tabby) and Strawberry (the housepanther). They're both as sweet and gentle as they are beautiful. (And as you can see, these ladycats are plenty beautiful!)

 

Strawberry and Bugsy were originally found when they showed up in a back yard in the area. The nice man who lived there fed them until they felt comfortable about coming inside. Once that happened, they all lived happily together until the man sadly fell ill, and had to go in to the hospital. The girls were taken initially to animal control, but they are now safe and loved at PAWS. Strawberry and Bugsy are about two years old, spayed, current on their vaccinations, and negative for FIV and FeLV. Strawberry is a little more social than Bugsy, but both are sweet, and enjoy getting love and attention from their human pals.They are such good kitties, who are so ready to find their happily ever after.
