Cassiopea's Selfies

In addition to being sweet, beautiful, and adoptable, our buddy Cassiopea has something else that makes her really cool. What is it, you ask? As you can see from her selfies, her eyes change colors depending upon the lighting! Pretty neat, huh?

Cassiopea is super friendly, and came to PAWS as a stray cat who had had multiple litters of kittens. Now, she's spayed, current on her vaccinations, negative for FIV and FeLV, and ready to find her very own fairy tail ending. Cassiopea, who is about 5 years old, loves people and gets along with other nice cats. She's such a wonderful kitty. Come meet her today, and fall in love!

(Almost) Wordless Dulce

Did you know calico-coated cats are considered to bring good fortune around the world? It's true! And our strikingly beautiful and adoptable friend Dulce certainly is lucky to end up at PAWS while she waits for to find her happily ever after.

Dulce was surrendered by a loving former family when they were no longer allowed to keep her. She was really good with the children in her home, and is a very nice and affectionate kitty. She does not, however, like other cats, so she definitely needs to be your one and only. Being at the shelter has been tough for her, but she now has a room of her own, and we are really seeing her sweet personality re-emerge. Dulce is about two years old, spayed, current on her vaccinations, and negative for FIV and FeLV. She's so ready to find her forever family! We sure hope it comes real soon.

(Almost) Wordless Jasper

In our last post, you met our sweet pal Moo Stach. Well, today, we'd like to introduce you to her current roommate. Without further ado, here's beautiful, gentle, and oh-so-sweet Jasper. Isn't she adorable?

Jasper, who is about two years old, came to PAWS after her humans got divorced, and neither wanted to keep this sweet girl. Their loss, we say! This amazing kitty deserves so much better. Despite the lack of love and attention at her former home, Jasper is a snuggly and delightfully happy kitty. She gets along with other nice cats, but would also be fine as your one and only kitty, if that's how you roll. She just wants to love and be loved. Sound good? Come meet Jasper today!

 

 

Selfies by Moo Stach

It's Springtime, and love is in the air. Want proof? Just take a look at our beautiful and adoptable friend Moo Stach. As you can see from her photos, this sweet and snuggly ladycat is all about the love!

Moo Stach, who is about 10 years old, came to PAWS when her humans moved, but were not able to take her with them. While that's not something we would ever even consider doing, we are glad Miss Moo is safe and adored here while she waits to find her real forever family. As mentioned, she is such a sweet kitty and loves people. Moo Stach gets along with other nice cats, and is known to have lived with a dog. Like we said, she's all about the love! She is spayed, current on her vaccinations, and negative for FIV and FeLV. To meet her is to love her, so come meet Moo Stach today!

(Almost) Wordless Beau

Our handsome and adoptable friend Beau is one of those cats who just exudes calm and peace. Just look at these photos of him. Maybe his nickname should be "Zen?"

 

Actually, the fact that 4 year old Beau is so delightfully calm and outgoing is a true testament to his nature. His backstory is simply horrible - he was tossed from a moving car and suffered fractures to his jaw and ribs. He ran into a wooded area, and it took some kindhearted (and persistent) rescuers months to catch him, but we are glad they did, and that he wound up at PAWS. After a year of recuperation, he is all healed up, and ready to find his happily ever after. Through it all, his shining, sweet, and gentle personality is still what defines him. Beau also happens to get along with other nice cats and has lived with dogs.

 

Beau is neutered and current on his vaccinations. While he has tested positive for FIV, it's important to remember this does not mean he can't live a long and happy life! According to Best Friends Animal Society, "FIV-positive cats can live normal lives, both in quality and duration. They just need to be monitored for infections and dental issues. But if they’re well cared for, they can be healthy, happy, wonderful pets." FIV cannot be passed to other cats through casual contact, or by sharing food, water, or a litter box. Nor can it be passed to people or other pet species.

Selfies by Zoey

This week's contestant on "Which shelter cat raised its paw to take this week's selfie?" is our sweet, gentle and beautiful friend Zoey. As you can see, this kitty definitely knows a thing or two about posing for the camera!

Zoey found her way to PAWS after being picked up as a very friendly stray. When she arrived, she had a bad eye infection, but as you can see from her photos, it's been treated and she is all better now. Zoey is about 7 months old, spayed, current on her vaccinations, and negative for FIV and FeLV. She's a super gentle girl who would do best in a quiet home. She loves her volunteer human friends, and gets along well with other nice cats. Zoey is ready to find her happily ever after. Could it be with you?
