(Almost) Wordless Beau

Our handsome and adoptable friend Beau is one of those cats who just exudes calm and peace. Just look at these photos of him. Maybe his nickname should be "Zen?"

 

Actually, the fact that 4 year old Beau is so delightfully calm and outgoing is a true testament to his nature. His backstory is simply horrible - he was tossed from a moving car and suffered fractures to his jaw and ribs. He ran into a wooded area, and it took some kindhearted (and persistent) rescuers months to catch him, but we are glad they did, and that he wound up at PAWS. After a year of recuperation, he is all healed up, and ready to find his happily ever after. Through it all, his shining, sweet, and gentle personality is still what defines him. Beau also happens to get along with other nice cats and has lived with dogs.

 

Beau is neutered and current on his vaccinations. While he has tested positive for FIV, it's important to remember this does not mean he can't live a long and happy life! According to Best Friends Animal Society, "FIV-positive cats can live normal lives, both in quality and duration. They just need to be monitored for infections and dental issues. But if they’re well cared for, they can be healthy, happy, wonderful pets." FIV cannot be passed to other cats through casual contact, or by sharing food, water, or a litter box. Nor can it be passed to people or other pet species.

Selfies by Zoey

This week's contestant on "Which shelter cat raised its paw to take this week's selfie?" is our sweet, gentle and beautiful friend Zoey. As you can see, this kitty definitely knows a thing or two about posing for the camera!

Zoey found her way to PAWS after being picked up as a very friendly stray. When she arrived, she had a bad eye infection, but as you can see from her photos, it's been treated and she is all better now. Zoey is about 7 months old, spayed, current on her vaccinations, and negative for FIV and FeLV. She's a super gentle girl who would do best in a quiet home. She loves her volunteer human friends, and gets along well with other nice cats. Zoey is ready to find her happily ever after. Could it be with you?

(Almost) Wordless Nevada

Looking for a new best friend? Well, this might just be your lucky day, because so is our handsome and gentle buddy, Nevada!

Nevada is a friendly and super snuggly dude who loves his human pals at PAWS. He also gets along well with other nice cats. Nevada is about two years old, neutered, current on his vaccinations, and negative for FIV and FeLV. He's an amazingly good boy, and is so ready to find his new forever best friend. Lovely Lily's Selfie

Check out our sweet and beautiful friend Lily. We were so happy when she raised her paw to take this week's selfie, because ... just look! She did such an amazing job of posing so that everyone can see her gentle and loving personality shining through. You see it, right?

At 10 years young, Lily is what would be called a "senior" kitty, but she wants you to know she's still got lots of living and loving left to do. We were, in fact, a little surprised to find out she was 10! She's active, super friendly, and really gentle. Lily ended up at PAWS when her owner was hospitalized. It's certainly sad, but we are glad she is here to be loved and cared for while she looks for a new forever home. Lily is spayed, current on her vaccinations, and negative for FIV and FeLV. She adores people, and gets along well with other nice cats. Lily is such a wonderful kitty. All she needs now is a new best friend. Could it be you?

(Almost) Wordless Twix / 1,400 Posts

Even though she's only about one year old, our gentle and adoptable friend Twix has already been a mama.  Her kittens have all been adopted, and now this beautiful sweetheart is ready to be the baby in her forever loving home. Isn't she lovely?

Twix is spayed, current on her vaccinations, and negative for FIV and FeLV. She is slightly shy, but warms up quickly with her volunteer pals at PAWS. She has also lived with children and other cats, and did really well. Twix is so ready. She just needs a chance. Could it be with you?

 

On another, related, note, this is our 1,400th post! Tracey started ASVL back in December 2008, and since then, we've befriended close to 7,000 kitties who have come through PAWS. We've shared about more than 1,200 of them on ASVL. We still get such joy and satisfaction from helping these amazing and adoptable cats find their happily ever afters, and it's a privilege to share them with all of you. Thank you for sharing in our journey! We are supremely grateful for your friendship and encouragement, and for the strength and joy you give us. 

 

 

Astro's Selfie

This is our sweet and beautiful friend Astro. As you can see, she's got skills when it comes to taking selfies! She also happens to be super good at being pet, playing, and purring.💖

Astro, who is about 2 years old, was recently a mom. Her babies have all been adopted, and now she is spayed and ready to find her very own forever family. And we do mean family! Her intake card says that adorable and adoptable Astro is good with nice dogs, cats, and children. She is current on her vaccinations, and negative for FIV and FeLV. (Almost) Wordless Bella and Jr

If you're thinking our buddies Bella and Jr look extra friendly and super cuddly ... well, you're 100% correct. From the moment we entered their room, this delightful pair was all about the love. As you can see, they adore being pet and snuggled, hanging out, and lounging on laps.

Sadly, these two kitties came to PAWS when their owner was hospitalized and could no longer care for them. We can tell they were loved so much by their human, and it would be great if they could be adopted together. It's not a must, but wouldn't it be wonderful if they could stay together? Bella and Jr are about 5 years old, spayed/neutered, current on their vaccinations, and negative for FIV and FeLV. If you're looking for love, your search is over.
