(Almost) Wordless Baby

What's handsome, snuggly, playful, and white all over? As you can see from his photos, the answer to that question is our adorable and adoptable friend Baby!

Baby is about 6 years old. He was first adopted from PAWS about three years ago, but was recently found abandoned outside the shelter. We are not sure what happened, but it does appear that he was well-loved, as he is healthy and still possesses his sweet and happy-go-lucky nature. He loves to play, and enjoys being petted and brushed. Baby adores people, gets along with other nice cats, and has even lived with a cat-friendly dog. It's pretty safe to say that he would do well in almost any home. He is neutered, current on his vaccinations, negative for FIV and FeLV, and ready to be your new forever best friend. Come meet Baby today!

Selfies by Juno

Our pal Juno is SO sweet and friendly. Just look! Can't you just see it shining through in his eyes and expressive face?

Juno is about two years old, and came to PAWS as a stray. We spent a lot of time with him today, and can say he is most definitely one of the most affectionate kitties ever. He loves to be petted, brushed, and get attention from his human friends. He gets along with the other nice cats in his open room, so he'd make a great addition to a home with others. But he would also be happy as an only kitty. Juno is neutered, current on his vaccinations, and negative for FIV and FeLV. He's ready to find his forever home for the holidays, so come and meet this awesome kitty today!

It's Sunday, which means we're hopping along in the Sunday Selfies Blog Hop, hosted by our pals at The Cat On My Head. Be sure to check it out to see who else is hopping along (or to join in on the fun)!

(Almost) Wordless Cameron

This handsome fellow is our adoptable pal Cameron. He's friendly, gets along with other nice cats, and is just an overall wonderful kitty.

Now, you may be wondering, "Why is an adorable cat like Cameron still waiting to find his happily ever after?" Sadly, he came to PAWS from a large hoarding situation, and tested positive for Feline Leukemia (FeLV). While It cannot be passed to other pet species or to people, it is contagious to other cats, and often means a shorter life span. So Cameron should be adopted into either a home with another friendly FeLV positive cat (he gets along very well with others!) or as an only kitty. We know there is a loving forever home out there for Cameron. And we are happy he is safe and loved at PAWS until he finds it.

Dante's Selfie

It's Sunday, and looked who stepped up to pose for this week's selfie. It's our super handsome and friendly buddy Dante. As you can see, he knows a thing or two about posing for the camera!

Dante is about 2 1/2 years old, and came to PAWS from a hoarding situation. He was adopted earlier this year, but came back through absolutely no fault of his own. Dante is a wonderful kitty, who loves to be petted and brushed, and enjoys spending time with people. He also gets along well with other nice cats. Dante is neutered, current on his vaccinations, and negative for FIV and FeLV. Your happy holidays would be even HAPPIER with a new best friend like Dante. Come meet him today!

It's Sunday, which means we're hopping along in the Sunday Selfies Blog Hop, hosted by our pals at The Cat On My Head. Be sure to check it out to see who else is hopping along (or to join in on the fun)!

Happy Thanksgiving!

As we reflect on our lives, there is so much for which we are grateful.

We give thanks for those who adopt shelter animals and/or take in homeless pets ... you recognize just how special these wonderful creatures are, and you've opened up your hearts to them. Thank you also to those who rescue and care for shelter animals, donate time and resources, advocate for animals, serve as fosters, care for feral cats, or participate in trap-neuter-return programs. You are heroes, one and all.

We're also thankful for our families and many friends (including, of course, the ones we've made through blogging). Thank you for sharing your lives with us, and for sharing in ours.

Wishing all who celebrate the happiest of Thanksgivings.

Hugs and headbonks,
Ava, Tracey, and Kevin

Tinsel Selfies for the Holidays

With less than a week until Thanksgiving here in the U.S., Hanukkah and Christmas won't be far behind. And decorating for the holidays just isn't complete without a little Tinsel, right? We're not talking about that shiny, shimmery stuff, though. We're actually talking about our beautiful and adoptable pal, who happens to be named ... Tinsel. Check out her awesome selfies!

Tinsel loves people, and is super friendly and outgoing -- except if you are a cat. As such, she must be an only kitty. But don't let that scare you off. Tinsel has so much love to give to whoever is lucky enough to adopt her. She is about 2 years old, playful, affectionate, and came to PAWS after being found as a stray. Tinsel is spayed, current on her vaccinations, and negative for FIV and FeLV. She's ready to love and be loved. Don't you need some Tinsel for the holidays (and forever)?

It's Sunday, which means we're hopping along in the Sunday Selfies Blog Hop, hosted by our pals at The Cat On My Head. Be sure to check it out to see who else is hopping along (or to join in on the fun)!

(Almost) Wordless Barnum

Our friend Barnum is what some people call "the complete package" ... He's got good looks and a wonderful personality, and "plays well with others." Oh, and check out those great whiskers!

Barnum is about 3 years old, and came to PAWS as a stray. He loves being petted, and getting attention from his human pals (like us!). He gets along well with other nice cats, but would be fine as a one and only kitty, too. He's neutered and current on his vaccinations.

Barnum has tested positive for FIV, but it's important to remember this does not mean he can't live a long and happy life! According to Best Friends Animal Society, "FIV-positive cats can live normal lives, both in quality and duration. They just need to be monitored for infections and dental issues. But if they’re well cared for, they can be healthy, happy, wonderful pets." FIV cannot be passed to other cats through casual contact, or by sharing food, water, or a litter box. Nor can it be passed to people or other pet species.

Come and meet Barnum today. As you can see, he's all dressed up in his best tuxedo, and is ready to find his forever loving home. Is it with you?
