Meow Like a Pirate Day 2021

Avast, mateys! Today be "Meow Like a Pirate Day" on Ye Olde Cat Blogosphere (and "Talk Like a Pirate Day" for humans). Our mighty Captain Ava, having already found her happily ever after, be sailin' the high seas (i.e. all areas within a reasonable driving distance of Norwalk, Connecticut) to find the most sought after of all treasure - forever homes for all of our adorable and adoptable PAWS kitty pals. You can see two of them - sailors Dunkin and Camille - in our special 2021 MLAP Day image above.

Thar be friends a plenty below deck (you can check them out here) and our fine vessel be outfitted with a wealth 'o provisions ... tuna, shrimps, chicken, ham, cheese, catnip and silvervine, sea monster spiced rum (cat milk), all sorts 'o toys, sea monster scratchers, feathers, fleecy blankets, boxes 'n beds. So gather, friends, and join our quest as we set sail!

 

(Almost) Wordless - Ava's Happy Tail

One of our favorite things is hearing "happy tails" from forever families about the love they share with the furry family members they adopted from the shelter. The joy and love evident in those updates are magical. And we understand completely, since we have our very own happily ever after with our sweet PAWS graduate Ava. She melts our hearts and makes us laugh each and every day.

We love you, Ava. Thank you for adopting us! 

 

 

Bobby's Super Selfie

This is our new friend Bobby. As you can see, this super handsome mancat definitely knows his way around a selfie! What you might not see is that Bobby also happens to be a really nice guy. Just before these shots were taken, he was rolling around on the floor and hamming it up for pets and attention from his human buddies.💖

Bobby is about 1 1/2 years old. He arrived at PAWS not even a week ago, so he's still getting used to the unfamiliar sights, sounds, and smells of the shelter. He's definitely getting there, though, and we know he'll do well in a forever loving home. He'll definitely be loved and cared for here until he finds it. Come meet Bobby today!

(Almost) Wordless Bellana

Check out beautiful and whiskery Bellana, who is another one of our awesome and adoptable new pals. Can you tell from her photos how friendly she is, and how much she loves her human buddies?

In the third photo, this pretty ladycat was definitely willing me to put the camera down to give her some attention. We are happy to report that Bellana and her roommates did, in fact, get lots of attention (and catnip!) from both Tracey and me. Bellana, who is just about two years old, is spayed, microchipped, current on her vaccinations, and negative for FIV and FeLV. As mentioned, she adores her human friends. She also gets along well with other nice kitties. Bellana is just about purrfect, and purrfectly ready to find her loving forever home. Is it with you?

 

Selfies with Skeeter

Even though we've just met Skeeter, we can already tell you that he is a super sweet, gentle, and friendly cat. Oh, and handsome. Let's not forget handsome!

Skeeter, who is about 3 years old, came to PAWS after being found as a stray. He's such an amazing cat, and we are glad he is safe and loved here as he waits to be discovered by his forever family. Skeeter is neutered, microchipped, current on his vaccinations, and negative for FIV and FeLV. He loves people, adores being pet, and gets along well with other nice kitties. Question: What do you get when you combine a playful and friendly nature, and a heaping helping of cuteness? Answer: You get our awesome and adoptable friend Casey! 💖

Casey came to PAWS from a big hoarding situation where he did not get enough socializing. Despite this, he is a sweet and friendly boy, who with love and patience from his human friends at the shelter is gaining in confidence and trust. We know he'll blossom in a loving forever home. He also happens to get along famously with other nice cats, and would be a great companion for another kitty! 9 month-old Casey is neutered, current on his vaccinations, and negative for FIV and FeLV. He's ready to find his new best friend. Is it you?
