Lapcat Rufus' Selfies / 1300 Posts

What does a lapcat look like? If you guessed that it would look like our handsome pal Rufus, you'd be 100% correct. He's more than just a snuggler, though. As you can see from these photos, he also happens to know his way around a selfie!

Rufus, who ended up at PAWS after being found as a stray, is about 9 months old. He is very friendly, and his default is definitely snuggling and being pet. He also enjoys catnip and likes to play when the mood strikes, adores people, and gets along well with other nice kitties. 😸 Rufus is neutered, microchipped, current on his vaccinations, and negative for FIV and FeLV.   Mom Tracey started this little blog back in December 2008, and since then, we've befriended more than 5,500 kitties who have come through PAWS. We've shared about more than 1,100 of them at ASVL. We never dreamed we'd still be here more than one million visits and 46,100 comments later. It definitely never gets old, and it's such a joy and privilege to share about these amazing and adoptable cats. It wouldn't be possible without the love and support of our friends and followers. Thank you for sharing in our journey! We are so, so grateful for your friendship and encouragement, and for the strength and joy you give us. 💕

(Almost) Wordless Valentina

Check out our awesome and adoptable buddy Valentina! Isn't she the cutest?

 

10 month-old Valentina is friendly, curious, and super playful. She definitely loves being petted and getting attention from her human pals, but is not keen on other felines. While that means Valentina needs to be an only pet, she promises to be the bestest best friend to her new forever human. 😸 She's spayed, microchipped, current on her vaccinations, and negative for FIV and FeLV. (Almost) Wordless Bermuda

 How about a few shots of Bermuda to lift any sagging spirits, and help get you through the week? Okay, so we're not talking about those amazing islands in the North Atlantic. We ARE taking about our beautiful and adoptable housepanther friend of the same name, though. And we weren't kidding about Bermuda lifting your spirits (just look at that adorable face!).💖

1 1/2 year-old Bermuda came to PAWS after her owner moved to a place that does not allow pets. 😿 She is very friendly, loves attention, and will be a great best friend for whoever is lucky enough to adopt her. This gorgeous kitty is spayed, microchipped, current on her vaccinations, and negative for FIV and FeLV. She's waiting patiently to be discovered by her new forever family. We hope she doesn't have to wait long.

Sweet Bams' Selfie

Because she's new at the shelter, our pretty friend Bams is still a little bit shy with people she doesn't know. So, what a pleasant surprise it was when this sweet ladycat volunteered to take this week's selfie. She did a terrific job, didn't she?

 

There was compensation, of course, in the form of catnip.

Bams is about 5 years old. She ended up at PAWS after the new human baby in her former home developed allergies. As mentioned, she is a little shy at first, but warms up quickly, and loves being pet. She is spayed, current on her vaccinations, and negative for FIV and FeLV. She gets along with other nice cats, but would also be happy as a one and only kitty, if that's how you roll. (Almost) Wordless Carmella

Isn't our adoptable friend Carmella beautiful? Just look at her stunning furs. Her big and bright eyes. And her amazing whiskers!

Carmella really likes people (she is even a lap cat, when the mood strikes!), but is not a fan of other animals. So as nice as it is at PAWS, living here has been kind of tough for her. She's happy as can be to have human visitors, though, and we know that she'll do well as an only pet in a quiet and patient home. Carmella is about 4 years old, spayed, microchipped, current on her vaccinations, and negative for FIV and FeLV. She is so ready to find her happily ever after. And so deserving. We hope it finds her soon.

 

 

New Guy Miles' Selfies

Our buddy Miles is very new at the shelter, but we can already tell you he's a super nice kitty. We can also say with all confidence that he knows his way around a selfie. Did he rock these, or what? 😻

Miles is about 8 years old. He is very friendly, likes people, and loves getting attention and being pet. Miles is neutered, current on his vaccinations, and negative for FIV and FeLV. He'd do best in a quiet home without other pets, and will be an amazing best friend for some lucky adopter. Is it you?
