Easy Like Sunday Selfies - Skyler

Don't you just love a big ol' snuggly mancat? We sure do, and our handsome and adoptable friend Skyler fits that description perfectly. Just look at him ... willing me to join him on the bench for some attention.

Check out Skyler's extra toesies!

A request that I, of course, obliged.

Lap cat Skyler

Skyler is a super gentle dude who ended up at PAWS after being found as a stray. He loves being petted and getting attention. And snuggling!

Skyler gets along well with other cats, but would also be fine as your one and only. He's neutered, microchipped, and current on his vaccinations.

Two year-old Skyler has tested positive for FIV, but it's important to remember this does not mean he can't live a long and happy life! According to Best Friends Animal Society, "FIV-positive cats can live normal lives, both in quality and duration. They just need to be monitored for infections and dental issues. But if they’re well cared for, they can be healthy, happy, wonderful pets." FIV cannot be passed to other cats through casual contact, or by sharing food, water, or a litter box. Nor can it be passed to people or other pet species. Skyler is awesome. All he needs now is a forever home. Come meet him today, and fall in love.

It's Sunday, which means we're hopping along in the Sunday Selfies Blog Hop, hosted by our pals at The Cat On My Head. Be sure to check it out to see who else is hopping along (or to join in on the fun)!

(Almost) Wordless Ika

"Is it time for me to find my forever home yet?" is what our beautiful and supremely sweet friend, Ika, seems to be asking in this photo. 💖

10 year old Ika ended up at PAWS after her owner passed away. She's doing okay at the shelter, but she's so ready to find her new happily ever after.

Ika loves hanging out with her human pals, and is a lapcat extraordinaire. For those who are wondering, her cloudy eye is from an infection many years ago, but it does not bother her now. Ika is spayed, current on her vaccinations, and negative for FIV and FeLV.

As Ika is not a fan of other animals, she needs to be an only pet. But she promises to shower her forever person with love and to be the bestest BFF ever. Come meet Ika today, and fall in love!

Rusty's Selfies (with cone)

If there's anyone who can pull off taking a selfie with a cone on, it's our sweet and adoptable buddy Rusty. Check him out. He's wearing that thing like it's a fashion accessory, and even threw in a little raspberry in his second shot. 😹

In case you're wondering why Rusty is wearing a cone in the first place, he came to PAWS with a severe tail injury that required amputation. But fret not! Rusty is doing great, and now has a Manx-like tail, as you can see in this photo.

Rusty, who is about 3 years old, is a gentle and happy-go-lucky mancat. He's snuggly, playful, and loves hanging with his human pals. He's not so fond of other animals, though, so he should definitely be your one and only. But as we always say, that just means more quality time for Rusty and whoever is lucky enough to adopt him! He's neutered, current on his vaccinations, and negative for FIV and FeLV. Come meet Rusty today!

(Almost) Wordless Jefferson

We love this first shot of our awesome and adoptable pal, Jefferson. It kinda reminds us of an elementary school photo (Sit up straight ... look at the camera ... one ... two *click* ... three. Next!). 😹

We only just recently met Jefferson, but we can already tell you he is wonderful! He really likes humans, is gentle and playful, and gets along with other nice kitties.

Jefferson is about two years old. He's neutered, current on his vaccinations, and negative for FIV and FeLV. He's ready to find his new best friend. Is it you?

Cat in the Hat's Selfies

This coming Tuesday (March 2) is Read Across America Day, also known as Dr. Seuss Day. So, who better to star in this week's Sunday selfie than our handsome and adoptable pal, Cat in the Hat?

Cat in the Hat is about 4 years old, and is pretty new at PAWS. We had the pleasure of hanging out with him this weekend, and we can attest to the fact that he is as sweet and gentle as they come! He loves being pet and getting attention, gets along with other nice cats, and is a good talker. As you can see from his selfies, he also has striking turquoise eyes and big adorable cheeks. Cat in the Hat is neutered, current on his vaccinations, and negative for FIV and FeLV. He's ready to find his happily ever after. We hope he won't have to wait long. 💕

(Almost) Wordless Katie

This is our beautiful and super friendly pal, Katie. Can't you just see how sweet she is from these photos?

Katie, who is about 3 years old, came to PAWS after being found as a stray. The description on her intake card says she is "slightly shy," but we're pretty sure that needs to be updated. Whenever we visit her room, Katie is waiting at the front of her cage, eager for some love and attention. She adores being pet, and is a great conversationalist! Katie is spayed, microchipped, current on her vaccinations, and negative for FIV and FeLV. As you can see, she's all dressed up in her tuxedo and ready to find her loving forever home. Is it with you?

Flash's Easy Like Sunday Selfie

Check out our buddy, Flash, mixing her Sunday Selfie with an easy from one of the Room 5 doll beds. Isn't she adorable? What makes this even more special is how much progress Flash has made in recent weeks. She was SO skittish for months, and would largely try to be as invisible as possible and avoid human touch. But just look at her selfie. Doesn't she look calm and relaxed? It's because she is!

It's true. Flash has decided that the humans at PAWS are not so scary, and that she even loves getting pets and scritches from the ones she knows and trusts (hooray that we are some of those!).

Flash is about 9 1/2 years-old, and came to the shelter after her human passed away. She likes other nice cats and would do really well in a quiet home that will be patient with her. She's a sweetheart who just needs a little time to feel comfortable in new situations. Flash is spayed, microchipped, current on her vaccinations, and negative for FIV and FeLV. All this wonderful ladycat needs is a chance. Could it be with you?

It's Sunday, which means we're hopping along in the Sunday Selfies Blog Hop, hosted by our pals at The Cat On My Head. Be sure to check it out to see who else is hopping along (or to join in on the fun)!
