(Almost) Wordless Wednesday - Gio

This is our sweet, gentle and adoptable buddy, Gio. Isn't he handsome? 

Sadly, this super friendly guy came to PAWS after his owner passed away. He loves being petted and hanging out with his human pals. He's been an only cat his entire life, but he is so easygoing that we think he'd be fine with other kitties with a slow intro. Or he could be your only cat, if that's how you roll. 10 year-old Gio is neutered, microchipped, current on his vaccinations, and negative for FIV and FeLV. Just look at him .. all dressed up in that tuxedo, and ready to meet his new best friend. Is it you?

 

Cora's Sunday Selfie

It's hard to believe another week has passed, and that it's already time again for the Sunday Selfies Blog Hop, hosted by our buddies at The Cat on My Head. Not that we're complaining. We always enjoy hopping along, and love that it gives some of the PAWS cats, like beautiful Cora, a chance to show off their selfie-taking skills. Isn't she lovely?

As you can see, Cora is a medium-haired housepanther with long and magnificent whiskers. What you may not see just from her photos is that this petite ladycat also happens to be a sweetheart through and through. She loves being pet and visiting with her human pals. Cora is spayed, microchipped, current on her vaccinations, and negative for FIV and FeLV. To know her is to love her, so come get to know Cora today!

(Almost) Wordless Wednesday - Penelope

Our new friend, Penelope, is SO new that we're short on details about her. What we CAN tell you is that she is a total sweetheart (and lapcat), who loves getting attention and affection from her human pals.

With such an amazing personality and disposition, and that adorable face, we have our paws crossed that Penelope finds her forever home real soon.

 

(Not so) Grim's Sunday Selfies

We're not exactly sure how our handsome pal Grim got his name, but we can tell you that his personality is anything but "grim." This wonderful and outgoing mancat is a super friendly guy who LOVES a lap. It's true ... you're looking at a 100% bonafide lapcat.

12 year-old Grim came to PAWS when his owner moved to a home that did not allow pets. He's never lived with other pets, so he would probably do best in a quiet home as an only furry companion. He definitely loves people. As a senior cat, Grim qualifies for the PAWS Senior Cat Pension Plan, which includes: half-price adoption fee, and free annual exams, vaccinations, and senior blood-workup analysis for life. (Almost) Wordless Wednesday - Mr. Tibbs

This good-looking fellow is our buddy, Mr. Tibbs. In case you're wondering, he's more than just a handsome face. He also happens to like people, or more accurately, snuggling with people.

Mr. Tibbs is about 2 years old. He's neutered, microchipped, current on his vaccinations, and negative for FIV and FeLV. He isn't a fan of other animals, so he should be an only pet. But that just means more snuggles for whoever is lucky enough to adopt him, right? 💖

 

Annie's Sunday Selfies

As we so often do, we asked the PAWS cats who wanted to volunteer to take this week's Sunday selfies. And up stepped our cute-as-a-button pal, Annie! We think she did pretty well. What say you?

Friendly and outgoing Annie is about two years old. She's spayed, microchipped, current on her vaccinations, and negative for FIV and FeLV. Annie is pretty new at PAWS, so we're not really sure yet how she feels about other cats. But we're already sure she likes people. Annie is so ready to find her happily ever after. Is it with you?

(Almost) Wordless Wednesday - 1200 Posts, and Claude!

Holy cat! We were really surprised to see this is Animal Shelter Volunteer Life's 1,200th post! Mom Tracey started this little blog in December 2008, and since then, we've interacted with and befriended somewhere north of 5,000 kitties who have come through the doors of PAWS. And we've blogged about more than 1,000 of them. We never could have imagined we'd still be here.

Yet, here we are, still happy to be sharing about the amazing cats we're blessed to love and meet during the time we spend volunteering. We couldn't do it without the love and support of you -- our friends and followers. Thank you for your encouragement and care, and for the strength and joy with which you continue to gift us!

And now, for your (Almost) Wordless Wednesday viewing pleasure, is our handsome and adoptable friend, Claude.

Two year-old Claude is a very good boy. He's neutered, microchipped, current on his vaccinations, and negative for FIV and FeLV. Claude is a little shy at first, but he's super gentle, and warms up once he gets to know you. He gets along well with other cats, and would be a great buddy for another young kitty.
