(Almost) Wordless Wednesday - Mr. Tibbs

This good-looking fellow is our buddy, Mr. Tibbs. In case you're wondering, he's more than just a handsome face. He also happens to like people, or more accurately, snuggling with people.

Mr. Tibbs is about 2 years old. He's neutered, microchipped, current on his vaccinations, and negative for FIV and FeLV. He isn't a fan of other animals, so he should be an only pet. But that just means more snuggles for whoever is lucky enough to adopt him, right? 💖

 

Annie's Sunday Selfies

As we so often do, we asked the PAWS cats who wanted to volunteer to take this week's Sunday selfies. And up stepped our cute-as-a-button pal, Annie! We think she did pretty well. What say you?

Annie is pretty new at PAWS, so we're not really sure yet how she feels about other cats. But we're already sure she likes people. Annie is so ready to find her happily ever after. Is it with you?

(Almost) Wordless Wednesday - 1200 Posts, and Claude!

Holy cat! We were really surprised to see this is Animal Shelter Volunteer Life's 1,200th post! Mom Tracey started this little blog in December 2008, and since then, we've interacted with and befriended somewhere north of 5,000 kitties who have come through the doors of PAWS. And we've blogged about more than 1,000 of them. We never could have imagined we'd still be here.

Yet, here we are, still happy to be sharing about the amazing cats we're blessed to love and meet during the time we spend volunteering. We couldn't do it without the love and support of you -- our friends and followers. Thank you for your encouragement and care, and for the strength and joy with which you continue to gift us!

And now, for your (Almost) Wordless Wednesday viewing pleasure, is our handsome and adoptable friend, Claude.

Two year-old Claude is a very good boy. He's neutered, microchipped, current on his vaccinations, and negative for FIV and FeLV. Claude is a little shy at first, but he's super gentle, and warms up once he gets to know you. He gets along well with other cats, and would be a great buddy for another young kitty. All he needs is a chance. Come meet Claude today!

(Almost) Wordless - Shadow

There's something about our awesome and adoptable friend, Shadow, that makes him irresistible. Is it those big round eyes? His sweet personality? Or maybe those adorable fangs? Whatever it is, we all love this mancat!

Shadow is super friendly and outgoing. He wound up at PAWS when his owner was no longer able to provide care. Shadow is diabetic and requires insulin twice a day but he takes it easily while he's eating. He loves to be petted, brushed, and spend time with people. He gets along with other cats, but would also be happy as an only kitty.

Shadow is about 10 years old, and qualifies for the PAWS Senior Pension Plan. Whoever is lucky enough to adopt him will get an amazing kitty with no adoption fee, and a free annual wellness exam, vaccinations and blood work analysis for the rest of his life. Shadow is neutered, microchipped, current on his vaccinations, negative for FIV and FeLV, and ready to find his happily ever after. Is it with you?

 

Scarlett's Sunday Selfie

While Connecticut shelters in place, many of the awesome and adoptable PAWS kitties are being cared for in wonderful, loving foster homes. One of those cats is beautiful Scarlett, who (as evidenced by these great photos from her foster mom - our friend and fellow volunteer, Pam), seems to be enjoying spending some time in a real home.

According to her description, Scarlett is a friendly gal who came to us when her family moved and left her behind. She loves to be petted, and loves a good lap, but will sometimes nip because she's a little undersocialized. Because of this, she should go to a home with no kids and experienced pet parents. Scarlett gets along with most other nice cats, but would also be happy as a one and only kitty. She is spayed, microchipped, current on her vaccinations, and negative for FIV and FeLV. Scarlett is all ready to find her happily ever after! Is it with you?

This is our beautiful, sweet and silly PAWS graduate, Ava. She and her sister, Gracie, make us laugh and smile each and every day. The love and happiness they bring to our home has been especially wonderful during all this sheltering in place!
