(Almost) Wordless Wednesday - Mishu

Did you know that October is Black Cat Awareness Month? It's true! And in keeping with that theme, we present our handsome and gentle housepanther friend, Mishu. He wants everyone to know he is a very good boy, and that he will be the bestest best friend for whoever is lucky enough to adopt him. (We will 100% vouch for him, by the way). 💖

Mishu is about 2 years old, and came to PAWS after he was found as a stray. He loves to be petted and brushed, loves people, and gets along with other nice cats. He is neutered, microchipped, and current on his vaccinations. Mishu has tested positive for FIV, but it's important to remember this does not mean he can't live a long and happy life. According to Best Friends Animal Society, "FIV-positive cats can live normal lives, both in quality and duration. They just need to be monitored for infections and dental issues. But if they’re well cared for, they can be healthy, happy, wonderful pets." FIV cannot be passed to other cats through casual contact, or by sharing food, water, or a litter box. Nor can it be passed to people or other pet species. Come meet Mishu today, and fall in love!

 

Sunday Selfies with Kea, Take 2

It's not that our beautiful pal Kea's first selfie session wasn't good. It's just that we wanted to share these new selfies with everyone to show how much her confidence has grown. Just look at her posture and bearing, and compare it to her previous selfies. You can see the change, right? Kea is so much more confident, happy, and ready to find her new forever home!

Kea is about 2 years old, spayed, microchipped, current on her vaccinations, and negative for FIV and FeLV. She loves being pet, enjoys playing, and gets along with other nice kitties. Kea's looking for a new BFF. Could it be you?

(Almost) Wordless Wednesday - Stella

This big-eyed cutie pie is our super playful and adoptable pal Stella. And yes, she really is as adorable as she appears in these pictures. 😸

One year-old Stella outgoing and loves attention. She likes being petted, but can be a bit rough when she plays, so she should probably not go to a home with small children. She's spayed, microchipped, current on her vaccinations, and negative for FIV and FeLV. We are certain Stella will make a great best friend for some lucky adopter. Could it be you?

 

A Flurry of Sunday Selfies

Flurry is about 6 months old. He can be a little bit shy at first, but once he gets to know you, he enjoys attention and loves being pet. He's neutered, microchipped, current on his vaccinations, and negative for FIV and FeLV. Flurry gets along well with other nice kitties, but would also be fine as a one and only. Monkey see, monkey do. If that old saying is true, our beautiful and adoptable friend Monkey must have seen lots of sweetness and love before she ended up at PAWS. She's a lap cat extraordinaire who loves human attention and gets along well with other nice kitties.

Teal's Sunday Selfies

It's Sunday, which means we're taking part in the Sunday Selfies Blog Hop hosted by our wonderful pals at the Cat on My Head. Well, look who stepped up when we asked the PAWS cats who wanted to represent today. It's our pretty and petite buddy Teal!

3 year-old Teal came to PAWS as a stray, with her tiny babies in tow. Her kittens have all been adopted, but now it's time for Teal to find a happily ever after of her own. She is playful, gets along with other cats, and loves attention. She is spayed, microchipped, current on her vaccinations, and negative for FIV and FeLV. Teal is purrfect in every way, and has it all, except for a forever home. We sure hope it comes soon.

(Almost) Wordless Wednesday: We Love Cee Cee

On Sunday, we spent some quality time with beautiful and gentle Cee Cee. Can't you totally see the sweetness in her face?

Right after these photos were taken, Cee Cee climbed into my lap, purred up a storm, and settled in for a nice long nap. Fall is coming ... who wouldn't want a sweetheart of a best friend and a nice warm lap?

Cee Cee is about 3 years old. Adopted from PAWS in 2017, she was recently returned when her owner could no longer afford to care for her. As sad as that is, we are glad that she is here, where she is being loved and cared for while she waits to be discovered. Cee Cee is spayed, microchipped, current on her vaccinations, and negative for FIV and FeLV.  She's so ready to find her happily ever after. Is it with you?
