Sad News from PAWS-ville

It's a sad, sad night at PAWS. Tonight, a dark cloud descended upon this place that is so often a beacon of hope and happily ever afters, as we said goodbye to Rasputin, a cat who was truly everybody's buddy. Though his time here on Earth was brief (he was just 1 1/2 years old), he had a magical spirit that touched the lives of all who met him. He instantly captured the hearts of the staff and volunteers, and we will love and miss our little "Pootie" forever. 

Found as a stray, Rasputin had some special needs (the very ones that would eventually lead to his passing) that would have required a very special forever home. But if his issues bothered him, he never, ever let on. Rasputin's spirit was loving and full of life. He loved to be held, play (he was FAST!), and was a world-class snuggler. And he was adored by all of us human aunties and uncles.

As the saying goes, "home is where the heart is." Rasputin didn't find that elusive forever home, but he loved his people, and was loved so deeply in return, that perhaps he was already home. Fly free, sweet Rasputin. Until we meet again.

Easy Like Sunday Selfies - Danno

This is our new pal, Danno. He was found as a stray, but he definitely learned somewhere that humans are sources of good things. This handsome and happy-go-lucky dude loves attention! As you can see from these photos, he also takes a pretty awesome selfie.

Danno is about 2 years old. As previously mentioned, he's super friendly. He's also playful, and gets along with other friendly kitties. Danno is neutered, micro-chipped, current on his vaccinations, and negative for FIV and FeLV. He'd make the perfect addition to almost any home! Could it be yours?

(Almost) Wordless Wednesday - Snow

Unlike the cold white stuff that falls from the sky, our super handsome buddy Snow is warm, friendly, gentle and ready to find a new best friend.

Snow is about 3 years old. He's kind of new to PAWS, so it's not a huge surprise that he's still a little overwhelmed  by the strange sights, sounds and smells he's been encountering. But he's definitely starting to come out of his shell, and showing an affinity for hanging out with his human pals, being pet and posing for the camera. 😸

Snow is neutered, micro-chipped and current on his vaccinations, and has tested negative for FIV and FeLV. We're positive he'll blossom in a nice, quiet forever home. Could that be with you?

Easter Sunday Selfies!

(Almost) Wordless Wednesday - Roxy

Our adoptable friend Roxy is one of THOSE cats. You know the kind. The kind that simply exudes sweetness and love. The kind that everyone who meets her is immediately smitten with. 💖 

As you can see from these pictures, beautiful and super friendly tabby Roxy totally enjoys spending time with her human pals. She also likes being pet, and if you're lucky, you may even get to rub her tummy (as evidenced in that last photo). Roxy is only about 2 years old, and her kittens have already been adopted, so now she's ready to be YOUR baby. This ladycat is spayed, microchipped, current on her vaccinations, and negative for FIV and FeLV. Won't you come meet her today? You (and Roxy) will be glad you did!

Harrison's Sunday Selfies

Even though he was in the middle of posing for his selfies, our handsome ginger buddy, Harrison, wanted to be sure to wish everybuddy a happy first Sunday of the Spring. Such a thoughtful mancat! 

Harrison is about 3 years old. He's still a little shy with new people, but is really beginning to come out of his shell with all the love and attention he's getting from the PAWS staff and volunteers. We have no doubt that he will positively blossom in a quiet forever home. Harrison is neutered, micro-chipped, current on his vaccinations and negative for FIV and FeLV. He had some dental issues and needed to have all his teeth removed, but he is doing fine on his canned food only diet. Harrison gets along with other nice cats or would be happy as your only furry friend. Come meet him today!

Check out our super handsome pal Sheffield. Doesn't he look like he's beckoning you to give him some love and attention? That's because he is! You see, Sheffield is one of the friendliest, gentlest (and adoptable!) mancats ever. 😸

Sheffield is about 7 years old, and ended up at PAWS after his owners developed allergies. He's a super good boy, and gets along well with other nice kitties. He's neutered, micro-chipped, current on his vaccinations and negative for FIV and FeLV. Potential forever families should be aware that Sheffield was front paw declawed at some point in his life, so he absolutely, positively must be an indoor-only cat. (For the record, we (and PAWS) are strongly against the barbaric procedure of declawing.) Come meet Sheffield today. We promise you'll fall in love!
