(Almost) Wordless Wednesday - Sassy

Have you ever seen a movie where a character's name is the opposite of what they actually are? You know, like the giant named "Tiny." Or the turtle whose name is "Speedy." That's kind of how it is with our adorable, adoptable friend Sassy. This sweet and sensitive ladycat has been waiting patiently for her forever home for quite some time, and she wants everyone to know that she's not really "sassy."

 That adjective may have been accurate when Sassy first arrived at PAWS, but who could blame her? She had been tormented by the children in her former home, so when she first came here, she wasn't sure who she could trust. Smart girl that she is, it didn't take her long to learn that her new human friends were sources of love and care (and food). And she went from a cat who was nervous about being pet to what you see above. Cute. Funny. Playful. Pet-able. And happy to hang with her peeps.

We're positive that 5 year-old Sassy will blossom in a forever family. Because of her past, she would do best in a quiet home, without rambunctious pets or small children. She gets along fine with other nice kitties, but would be just as happy as an only cat. Sassy is spayed, micro-chipped, current on her vaccinations, and negative for FIV and FeLV. Easy Like Sunday Selfie - Buttercup

Check out our pretty new pal, Buttercup. Today was our first time meeting her, and it's already clear to see she's friendly, playful and gentle. Don't you just love her big round eyes, black nose, and white toes? :)

(Almost) Wordless Wednesday - Frankie!

Our pretty, gentle and adoptable pal Frankie often seems to have a look of surprise on her face. We're not sure why that is, but it always makes us smile.😺

Frankie is an absolute doll ... sweet, cuddly and playful when the mood strikes. She's only about 1 1/2 years old, and loves hanging out with her human friends. She's spayed, micro-chipped, current on her vaccinations and negative for FIV and FeLV.

Easy Like Sunday Selfie - Wiggles

Every so often, a cat comes through the shelter that everybody falls in love with. That's exactly what's happened with our super gentle, beautiful and lovable buddy Wiggles. Found as a stray, this petite ladycat has the sweetest, most loving personality ever. What else do we love about Wiggles? Well, as you can see, she's got the selfie thing down pat...

She's also got mad modeling skills!

She's a lap cat who loves snuggling.

She gets along great with other nice cats (like her roommate Matt, shown here)

 

She's got a 10,000 watt smile! :)

Wiggles is about 10 years old, spayed, micro-chipped and current on her vaccinations. She is negative for FIV and FeLV. She does have some chronic respiratory issues/sinusitus, which might require ongoing treatment, but she has shown marked improvement even over the past week. :)

Wiggles is pretty much the complete package! She's a kitty who's got everything except for the loving forever home she so wants and deserves. That's where you come in. To know her is to love her, so come get to know Wiggles today!

(Almost) Wordless Wednesday - Dusty

Our gorgeous and adoptable friend Dusty was pretty upset when she first arrived at PAWS. We can understand how frightening it is to find yourself in an unfamiliar place that's full of other animals, and strange smells, sight and sounds. And unfamiliar humans, too. Well, we're happy to report that she's starting to figure out that if she has to wait someplace to find her forever home, PAWS isn't so bad. It turns out that Dusty is a SUPER sweet kitty, and heck ... she even likes attention from us humans. :) 

Dusty is about 3 years old, gentle and very friendly. She's spayed, micro-chipped, current on her vaccinations, and negative for FIV and FeLV. As mentioned, she's doing just fine here, and waiting patiently. But she's ready to find her very own happily ever after. We hope she doesn't have to wait too long. 

Easy Like Selfie Sunday - Gamora

This little cutie pie is our adoptable new friend, Gamora. She's just one year old, but as you can see, she's already well-versed at the art of the selfie. And at doing the Easy Like Sunday Morning thing, too. 😺

Gamora is spayed, micro-chipped and current on her vaccinations. She's sweet, gentle, playful and loves attention. She gets along with other nice cats, and would be a great fit for almost any home. Now all Gamora needs is is a new best friend. Is it you?

(Almost) Wordless - Zatz! 💖

The last time we posted about our adoptable friend, Zatz, she was still pretty new to PAWS. As we were just getting familiar with this pretty girl, we didn't know if the "can be feisty" tag on her cage was deserved, or not. Well, we can tell you that the answer is NOT. In fact, that tag would be far more accurate if it read, " Zatz is a lapcat." Or, "Zatz loves people." Or, "Zatz is a sweetheart." 💖

Zatz is about 8 1/2 years old. She gets along with other nice cats, but would be fine as an only kitty. She's already shown her sweet, gentle and loving personality at the shelter, and we know she'll blossom once she's in a forever home. Zatz is spayed, micro-chipped and current on her vaccinations. She has tested negative for FIV and FeLV. Oh, and did we mention she's a lapcat? With autumn upon us, and winter in the wings, what could be better than a best friend to warm your lap and heart?
