(Almost) Wordless Wednesday - Lucy 2

It may be (Almost) Wordless Wednesday, but our new pal Lucy 2 isn't a silent beauty. Truth be told, this gorgeous and gentle ladycat is quite the conversationalist. She's always sure to greet visitors with a meow lots and lots of meows.

Lucy 2 can often be found on this chair in her room at PAWS, waiting for one of her volunteer pals to take a seat for some good old-fashioned petting, talking and lap time. She's a serious lapcat.

Oh, and she's kind of a comedian, too... :)

Lucy 2 is about 10 years old. She's spayed, micro-chipped, current on her vaccinations, and has tested negative for FIV and FeLV. She doesn't seem to be crazy about other cats, and would do best as an only kitty.  Potential adopters should be aware that Lucy 2 was front paw declawed by whoever owned her previously. (We - and PAWS - are strongly against the barbaric procedure of declawing, and don't know why anyone would do such a thing.) But we DO know that Lucy 2 is a very sweet girl who would make someone a great best friend. Come meet her today!

Easy Like Sunday Selfie - Midnight :)

Okay, granted we're kind of partial to housepanthers, but isn't our gentle, super-affectionate friend, Midnight, gorgeous? :) 

We spent some quality time with adorable, adoptable Miss Midnight on Saturday, and we will attest that she is an absolute darling. That sweet and loving look in her eyes says it all, doesn't it?

Oh, and in case you were wondering, Midnight also takes a pretty awesome selfie. :)

Midnight is about 7 1/2 years old. She is spayed, micro-chipped, current on her vaccinations, and negative for FIV and FeLV. She gets along well with other nice cats, but would also be fine as your one and only, if that's how you roll. If you're looking for love, Midnight is the ladycat for you. (Almost) Wordless Wednesday - Delta

This is our adorable, adoptable tabby cat pal, Delta. 

She's about 8 months old, and loves other kitties (she gets along super well with the other cats in Room 5). She's still not entirely sure about people, though.

But the PAWS staff and volunteers have been hard at work to convince Delta that humans are sources of love, kindness and all other good things. And slowly but surely, those efforts seem to be working. :)

Delta is spayed, micro-chipped, current on her vaccinations, and negative for FIV and FeLV. She would do best in a quiet, patient home where she will be allowed the time she needs to feel comfortable. And since she loves other kitties, she could be a great addition to a home that already has feline residents. Won't you please consider giving Delta the chance she so deserves?

Selfies on Sunday

It's Sunday, and as we almost always do, we're taking part in the Sunday Selfies Blog Hop, hosted by our good friends at The Cat on My Head! A bunch of the adorable, adoptable PAWS cats were up for the challenge this week. Check it out!

Beautiful Roxy is new to PAWS, but it's clear this tuxie ladycat is a selfie-taking pro. :)

Handsome Taylor may be shy, but he gathered up some courage and took a top-notch selfie!

Merritt is the queen of the Showcase Room. And her selfie shows off her beautiful markings, royal colors, and a little cattitude for good measure. :)

(Almost) Wordless Wednesday - June :)

It always makes us smile when kitties in Cat Room 8 hang out underneath the Kliban Cat artwork. And here's our sweet and beautiful friend, June, doing exactly that. :)

June is about 2 years old, and was found abandoned near PAWS. She's a calm and gentle ladycat who has learned that the staff and volunteers here are sources of love and kindness (and food!). She'll do well in a quieter home, and would be okay with older children and/or other cats. June is spayed, micro-chipped, current on her vaccinations and negative for FIV and FeLV. Come meet her, and fall in love!

 

Easy Like Selfie Sunday - Princess :)

Our beautiful friend Princess volunteered this week for the Sunday Selfies Blog Hop (hosted by our friends at The Cat on My Head). As you can see, it turns out this sweet, lovable tabby has some serious selfie skills!

Princess is a very healthy 16 year-old kitty, who has lots more love to give to some lucky forever family. She's spayed, micro-chipped, current on her vaccinations, and negative for FIV amd FeLV. Princess loves attention, cuddling and gets along well with other nice cats. We all adore her! Now all she needs is a forever home. Is it with you?

Princess also qualifies for the PAWS Pension Plan, which features no fee adoptions for cats 12 years and older, with the following included at no cost for the life of the cat: a yearly exam and senior blood workup analysis, and vaccinations as recommended by the PAWS vet!

(Almost) Wordless Wednesday - Marie :)

This cutie patootie is our new friend, Marie.

 

We're still getting to know her, but we've already established that she's a super sweet and cuddly lapcat who loves being pet.

She's quickly becoming a favorite among the cat volunteers. :)
