Apricat's Sunday Selfies :)

Even though she's kind of new to the shelter, pretty Apricat raised her pretty paw to volunteer to take this week's Sunday Selfie. She did a really good job, don't you think?

Apricat was found as a stray on the streets of Norwalk, Connecticut, with really young kittens. Thankfully, one of our awesome fellow PAWS volunteers stepped up to foster this little family until they were ready to be adopted. Now that her babies have all been adopted, 5 year-old Apricat is ready to find her very own happily ever after. She's spayed, micro-chipped, and current on her vaccinations, and has tested negative for FIV and FeLV. As we mentioned before, Apricat is still kind of new, and is still getting used to things here. But she will absolutely, positively blossom in a forever home, so come meet her today, and fall in love!

(Almost) Wordless Wednesday - Toulouse :)

Big and friendly mancat Toulouse is what lots of people call "the complete package." He's strikingly handsome...

And playful. And he has lots of awesome extra toes.

He also has the cutest pink nose!

Toulouse gets along well with other nice kitties, but would also be fine as an only cat. He's neutered, micro-chipped, current on his vaccinations, and negative for FIV and FeLV. Toulouse is about 5 years old, with lots of life to live and lots of love to give. Come meet him today!

 

Easy Like Sunday Selfie - Merceline :)

Do you remember our sweet and gentle friend, Merceline? She's gained so much confidence over the past month, and stepped right up when we asked for volunteers for this week's selfies.

Merceline is about 7 years-old, spayed, micro-chipped, current on her vaccinations, and negative for FIV and FeLV. She gets along well with other nice cats. She has the sweetest meow, loves being pet and cuddled. Now all she needs is a new best friend. Is it you?

(Almost) Wordless Wednesday - Sniffles

This cutie pie is our new friend, Sniffles. As you can see, he's got the over-the-shoulder head tilt thing down to an art. :)

 

Sniffles is pretty new at PAWS, but he's already shown himself to be a super sweet dude. He's very calm, and really enjoys being pet and snuggled. :)

Sniffles is 13 years old, neutered, micro-chipped, current on his vaccinations, and has tested negative for FIV and FeLV. He's got lots more living to do, and would be a great best friend to whoever is lucky enough to adopt him. Sniffles also qualifies for the PAWS Pension Plan, which features no fee adoptions for cats 12 years and older, with the following included at no cost for the life of the cat: a yearly exam and senior blood workup analysis, and vaccinations as recommended by the PAWS vet. Tramper's Sunday Selfie :)

Here's our sweet and extremely gentle friend, Tramper, with this week's Sunday Selfie. This guy can be a little bashful at first, but has really come a long way in the time he's been at PAWS. He gets along well with other nice kitties, loves catnip, adores being brushed, and enjoys hanging out with his favorite human volunteer pals.

We know that 5 year-old Tramper's confidence will blossom in a quiet, loving home. He is neutered, micro-chipped, and current on his vaccinations, and has tested negative for FIV and FeLV. He's a wonderful, loving cat. Now all he needs is someone to give him the happily ever after he wants and deserves. Come meet Tramper today!

Dona Nobis Pacem #blog4peace

As we do every November 4th, we’re taking part today in “BlogBlast for Peace.” Since Mimi Lenox started it in 2006, this day of peace and unity has grown to include thousands of bloggers in 214 countries, on every continent, all blogging about the same thing ... PEACE.

Our peace globe for 2016 features our adorable and adoptable friend, Morticia. She's such a friendly, good-natured kitty, and we're not really sure why she's been at PAWS for so long. Fortunately, the waiting never seems to get Morticia down. Humanity could learn so much from this little cat. Day in and day out, her sunny personality shines through. She's happy and at peace, something we believe is due in large part to the love she receives here. Peace, love and happiness ... that's quite the winning formula, huh? :)

Just look at Morticia's face. And that black chin that gives her a perpetual smile. She's ready to bring her message of peace and love to her very own forever family. Is it yours?

(Almost) Wordless Wednesday - Naomi

As you can see, our buddy Naomi is as cute as a button cuter than any old button could ever hope to be. :)

This pretty girl isn't really what we'd call a "people" cat (i.e. she likes hanging around us humans, but is still pretty timid, and she's not so sure she's down with being pet), but she LOVES other kitties. Oh, and catnip and playing, too.

Maybe your kitty needs a new best friend?
