(Almost) Wordless Wednesday - Tina

Hi, everybuddy! This our new friend, Tina. As you can see, she's a real cutie pie! Found wandering the streets as a stray, Tina is a confident, friendly ladycat who loves the company of her human volunteer pals (and other kitties, too). :)

Tina is about 2 years old, and would make a great addition to almost any home. She's spayed, micro-chipped, and current on her vaccinations. She has tested negative for FIV and FeLV. Won't you please consider opening your heart and home to this sweet and loving girl?

Easy Like Selfie Sunday - Clover :)

Our pal Clover has a really unique face. It makes for a great selfie*, doesn't it? It also happens to be why - after two years - we immediately recognized this handsome guy when he (through no fault of his own) recently ended up back at PAWS. The last time he was here, his name was Jeter. We remember vividly that his happy-go-lucky personality and penchant for a good old-fashioned belly rub made him a real fan favorite.

It turns out this wonderful boy is still just as sweet as ever.

And that he still loves getting his tummy rubbed. :)

Clover is about 5 years old, neutered, micro-chipped and current on his vaccinations. He's tested negative for FIV and FeLV. He loves pretty much everyone he meets, and will be your instant best buddy, forever and ever. To know Clover is to adore him ... come see for yourself!

(Almost) Wordless Wednesday - Emily and June

Happy Wednesday, from beautiful and adoptable roommates Emily and June! Here's gorgeous grey Emily, posing purrfectly for the camera.

And here's totally terrific torbie (tabby and tortie mix) and white June, nestled in nicely...

...on the roof of the well-loved pagoda cat tree in the PAWS showcase room. As you can see, Emily claimed one of the lower levels after having her picture taken.

Emily is about 5 years old, spayed, micro-chipped, current on her vaccinations, and negative for FIV and FeLV. She likes other cats, and would do best in a quieter home without children or dogs. Emily is a sweet girl, and with patience and love from the volunteers and staff, has grown in confidence. We know she'll continue to blossom in a loving forever home.

June is about 1 1/2 years old, and was found abandoned near PAWS. She, too, has figured out that the humans at the shelter are sources of love and kindness, and is learning to trust again. This gentle kitty would be fine in a home with older children and/or cats. June is spayed, micro-chipped, current on her vaccinations and negative for FIV and FeLV.

June and Emily have grown so much, and come so far at the shelter. Now they just need somebody to love them forever. Is that someone you?

Easy Like Sunday Selfie - Po

Check out our super sweet and snuggly buddy Po, doing a little mash-up of the "Sunday Selfie" and "Easy Like Sunday Morning" memes.
Totally relaxed: notice Po's back feet, resting on the wall. :)

This handsome dude is such a special cat. He's very gentle and snuggly, and is almost always up for some nice, quality lap time whenever we visit. And he also likes to play when the mood strikes. So, how did such an awesome kitty end up in a shelter? Heartbreakingly, Po came to PAWS when his owner had to go into a nursing home. We just can't imagine what that is like for him, or for his former human. Po seems to be adjusting well; his happy go lucky, gentle nature has made him a fast favorite among all of us volunteers.

Po really, really wants and deserves a new, loving forever home. He's about 11 years old which - considering how long indoor cats live - means he has lots more love to give to whoever is lucky enough to adopt him. He's neutered, micro-chipped, current on his vaccinations, and negative for FIV and FeLV. He gets along with most other cats, and as already mentioned, LOVES people. He's blind in one eye, but if it doesn't bother you, it definitely doesn't bother Po. He just needs somebody to give him a chance. Come fall in love with Po today. WE certainly all have.

(Almost) Wordless Wednesday - Tuna

Our adoptable friend Tuna sure is cute, isn't she? Just look at that face, with that adorable little half-mustache.

And that luxurious black and white tuxedo fur.

And those sweet white feet and toesies. :)

Tuna is about two years old, spayed, micro-chipped, current on her vaccinations, and negative for FIV and FeLV. She's still a little shy, but is quickly learning that her volunteer and staff buddies (and humans in general) are sources of good stuff like petting, playing and food. Tuna would do best in a quieter home, with no small children. Once she finds her loving happily ever after, we're confident she'll blossom and become a confident ladycat and loyal best friend. Now all she needs is the chance.

Easy Like Selfie Sunday - Skye

When we asked the PAWS cats about volunteering for this week's entry in the Sunday Selfies Blog Hop (hosted by The Cat On My Head), our fun, adoptable and active friend Skye jumped at the opportunity. On second thought, maybe she rolled over at the opportunity. :)

Look at that smile!
Skye is about 10 months old, spayed, micro-chipped, and current on her vaccinations. She's curious and playful, but also enjoys being held when the mood strikes. Skye is negative for FIV and FeLV. She loves pretty much everyone she meets. So what are you waiting for? Come meet Skye, and get some love! :)

(Almost) Wordless Wednesday - Meow-Wow

Doesn't our handsome housepanther buddy Meow-Wow have the sweetest face? And this is one book you can judge by its cover, because this guy is one of the most gentle, loving kitties we've ever met.

Waiting for a belly rub
When he first arrived at PAWS, we could tell Meow-Wow was a bit overwhelmed by the sights, sounds and smells of the shelter. He warily watched the shelter volunteers and staff from the back of his cage, but we could see that he really, really wanted to interact with us. And we were right. After just a couple of weeks, Meow-Wow is quickly gaining a reputation as a serious lapcat, and an unabashed love bug who loves pets, scritches and good conversation. :)

Meow-Wow is about 5 years old. He'd do best in a quieter home, without small children. He's neutered, micro-chipped and current on his vaccinations, and has tested negative for FIV and FeLV. If you're looking for love, your search is over. Come meet Meow-Wow today!
