Easy Like Selfie Sunday :)

Don't you just love Sunday? It's the purrfect day for resting and recharging for the week ahead (also known in the Cat Blogosphere as taking it "Easy Like Sunday Morning). And here are pretty Mimi (the beautiful white and tabby ladycat on the right) and her friend, Mindy, doing just that.

Of course, Sundays are also great for having a little fun. While Mindy and Mimi were snoozing, their super friendly roommate, Figaro, was demonstrating his awesome SELFIE skills. Looking good, Figgy!

We're participating in the Sunday Selfie Blog Hop, hosted by our fabulous pals at The Cat On My Head. Be sure to visit them to see who else is participating and/or to join in the festivities!

Happy Sunday, Everybuddy!

Tuxie Tuesday - Opt to Adopt Rikki

You never know when your luck will change. Take adorable and adoptable Rikki, for instance. She was born on the streets of Norwalk, Connecticut to a feral mom. Rikki, her mom and her siblings were captured as part of a Trap/Neuter/Return (TNR) effort. Since they were all extremely feral, the plan was to return them to their colony after their checkups, vaccinations, and spays. Things went exactly as planned for Rikki's mom and siblings. But fate stepped in when Rikki got a serious infection after her surgery. And believe it or not, that's when her luck changed for the better.

Let's just say that the time she spent recovering with the veterinary staff and her foster mom convinced Rikki that people are pretty cool. Foster Mom says this 6-month old cutie LOVES snuggling and belly rubs, playing with string toys and just chilling. She is also a great purrer, loves being held, and gives great kisses and head butts. Rikki is completely recovered from being sick, and is ready to find her happily ever after. She's spayed, micro-chipped, current on her vaccinations, and has tested negative for FIV and FeLV. Now all she needs is a forever family to love. Is it yours?

Easy (and Handsome) Like Selfie Sunday :)

There's a proverb that says, "A Sunday well spent brings a week's content." Of course, the definition of "well spent" depends upon who you ask. Take for instance our handsome, adoptable friend Rocky, who'd tell you a good Sunday includes playing on the meeting room cat trees, and taking SELFIES (like this):

We were going to ask our other adoptable mancat pal, Sparky, the same question. But as you can see, he's sort of occupied with doing the "EASY Like Sunday Morning" thing:

We say they're both having pretty good Sundays.

Here's hoping YOUR Sunday is well spent. :)

(Almost) Wordless Wednesday - buddies!

Don't you just love this photo of handsome, gentle "Uncle" Thor and The Dude, helping with some office work at PAWS? The little ones all love Thor, and he loves them right back. Adorable!

Easy Like Selfie Sunday :)

It may be a brand new year, but Sundays around here are still reserved for a bit of SELFIE* fun, and some good old-fashioned EASY. Getting us started with what may be her best selfie to date is our sweet and adoptable housepanther friend, Lucky. Nice one, Luck-A-Luck!

Oh, and about that Easy-like-Sunday-morning thing? Check out our silly, handsome and adoptable pal, Gabe, who's clearly taking relaxation to a higher level. The hanging leg is a great touch, don't you think?

=====

Oh, and lest we forget, here are some Happy Tails Tales to warm your heart just a little more to start the year:

“Thank you for contacting us and asking about Hippity (Salty) and Hoppity (Pepper). They are doing extremely well in every way. They eat enthusiastically, use their litter boxes fastidiously, get to run and play all over the house and stairs, have gained a tiny bit of weight, but are very active, fit and happy. They still like being with each other, on a window seat watching the leaves blow by, and sleeping late on mornings on warm down comforters. These two beautiful cats are delightful and have taught us very much about their own relationship to each other as well as showing us their wonderful individual qualities.

“I took this photo of Kreamsicle the other day. He is adorable! He has changed a lot since he first came. He has become a lot friendlier. He sits on my lap whenever he can. He really is a delightful kitty.”

“Pasha (now Jinxy) is doing great in her new home! She seemed to become comfortable fairly quickly and has opened up a lot through out the months we've had her. She loves to be in any room we are in and right by our side. Some of her favorite spots she likes to relax in are the living room chair and on top of the couch. She's my second alarm clock in the morning making sure to wake me up on time by meowing and laying right on my back! She had no issues using her litter box and loves feeding time. We absolutely love her feisty and playful attitude and she's a great companion.”

(Almost) Wordless Wednesday - Tucker

Handsome Tucker is about three years old, but he looks much younger.

He's also quite the comedian.

He has lots of energy,

And plays like a kitten!

As you might guess, this fun boy would do best in a home with humans who will interact a lot with him. Tucker gets along with some other cats, and is neutered, micro-chipped, and current on his vaccinations. He has tested negative for FIV and FeLV. If you're looking for love and laughter, Tucker's the cat for you! :)
