Easy (Squee) Like Sunday Selfie

Today, we're taking it easy AND participating in the Sunday Selfies Blog Hop, hosted by our pals at The Cat on My Head.  Here's gorgeous Merritt, making sure all of the camera equipment is in order for her Sunday selfie.

And here's her selfie. Great job, Merritt! :)

As for that Easy Like Sunday thing, here are kittens Rowena Ravenclaw and Salazar Slytherin, taking a squee-worthy snooze. :)

Happy Sunday, everyone! :)

(Almost) Wordless Wednesday - Miss Piggy

If you've ever seen "The Muppet Show," you know the character of Miss Piggy is convinced that she's going to be a superstar.

Well, OUR friend Miss Piggy (the Cat) is pretty sure she's destined for great things, too.

Like being the star of your heart and home. :)

Sadly, Miss Piggy ended up at PAWS when her owner had to move because of work.  This beautiful ladycat is generally independent, but enjoys playing and hanging out with her volunteer pals.  She'd do best as an only kitty (remember, she wants to be the star of the show), in a quieter home.  Miss Piggy is about 9 years old, spayed, micro-chipped and up-to-date on her vaccinations. She has tested negative for FIV and FeLV.

Happy Mother's Day! :)

"Biology is the least of what makes someone a mother." - Oprah Winfrey

To Mom Tracey, and all moms everywhere ... Happy Mother's Day!

(And Happy Mothra's Day to all flying, multi-colored Godzilla movie co-stars everywhere.) ;)

(Almost) Wordless Wednesday - Heart Cat!

The first thing we noticed about our new friend Itty was his friendly, sweet and LOVING disposition.   And then, we saw it.  Check out the pattern on this handsome mancat's chest (note: the pattern on Itty's chest has not been altered in any way -- the white heart is really there)!

Even though he's very new to PAWS, it's pretty clear that Itty is okay with other cats.  And he LOVES people.  He's about 5 years old, neutered, micro-chipped, and current on his vaccinations. He's tested negative for FIV and FeLV. Won't you open up YOUR heart and home to Itty and HIS heart?

Easy Like Selfie Sunday - Nessa Rose

Hi, everybuddy! My name's Nessa Rose, and I'm one of the cats available for adoption at PAWS. Since it's Sunday, my human friends asked me to try my paw at a selfie*. Did I do okay?

That sure was hard work. It's a nice spring day, and we Room 4 cats have this nice daybed and all these snuggly kitty beds. I think an Easy might just be in order...

Hey, you should come join us! :)

Nessa Rose is about 1 1/2 years old, and sweet as can be. She loves people, and gets along with most other cats. Nessa Rose is spayed, micro-chipped, and up-to-date on her vaccinations, and has tested negative for FIV and FeLV. She's waiting to meet you. So, what do you say?

Fun on Friday - Cartoon Moosey

Every week, our dear pal Nellie - who blogs over at the awesome Thoughts and Mewsings from the Cats from Hell - has a really fun "Finish the Sentence Game." She posts the beginning of a sentence, and challenges her readers to complete it in the comments section. One comment is chosen at random, and Nellie and her talented Mom Barb create a cartoon of the winner's sentence. This week's sentence was "I once dreamt that I was __________."

You can imagine our excitement when we found out that our own sweet Moosey was selected as this week's lucky winner!  His completed sentence was, "I once dreamt that I was king of the world." Here's the fabulous cartoon Nellie and Mom came up with.

Notice the comments by Gracie and Zoe (silhouettes in the foreground)! :)

Thank you, Nellie and Mom Barb. We totally LOVE it!

To see Nellie's announcement post about Moosey's win, click here.  And be sure to visit Nellie's blog, so that YOU can play the Finish the Sentence Game, too. :)

(Almost) Wordless Wednesday - Hubbell

Question: Who's black and white (with jellybean toes), and sweet all over? Answer: Our adoptable pal Hubbell! :)

Hubbell is about three years old, and must be adopted with his equally handsome brother, Marshall. These boys are shy at first, but very affectionate with humans with whom they are familiar. They get along well with other cats, and would do better in a quieter home. Hubbell and Marshall are neutered, micro-chipped, and current on their vaccinations. They have tested negative for FIV and FeLV.

Marshall and Hubbell are waiting patiently at PAWS to find their forever family. Is it yours?
