(Almost) Wordless Wednesday - Mercury

Believe it or not, Mercury's eyes are even more mesmerizing than in these pictures! :)

This beautiful girl is friendly, sweet and playful.

We can't for the life of us figure out why anyone would give her up.

Mercury is only 1 1/2 years old.  She's spayed, up to date on her vaccinations, micro-chipped, has tested negative for FIV and FeLV, and gets along with other non-aggressive cats.  Won't you consider giving this sweetheart the forever home she so deserves?

Tabby Tuesday - Katy

This is our beautiful little tabby friend, Katy. Isn't she a cutie pie?  She's friendly, sweet, playful and gentle.  And as you can see, she has some pretty impressive paws. :)

Katy gets along well with other cats, and would make a wonderful addition to any family. She's about 2 1/2 years old, spayed, micro-chipped and up-to-date on all of her vaccines, and has tested negative for FIV and FeLV. Come meet Katy today!

Those of you who read our last FURever Home Friday post probably remember us mentioning that Mercedes had been adopted.  Well, she HAD.  But that home wasn't the right fit for our sensitive and sweet friend, so after a brief return to PAWS, she got adopted again!  And this time into a nice quiet home with a new mom who is willing to give her the time she needs to feel safe, secure and loved.  How amazing is it that a cat who waited so long was adopted TWICE in the span of a month?  The happiest part of all is that it appears she's finally and truly found her very own forever home.

Congratulations to Mercedes and her new mom, and to all of the graduates and their new families!  And to all the kitties still waiting for their own happily ever afters ... don't fret ... we promise you'll be loved and cared for at PAWS until your own gotcha days arrive.

(Almost) Wordless Wednesday - Gizmo :)

Sweet and handsome Gizmo is one of the official greeters in PAWS Cat Room 4.

As soon as anybody enters the room, this friendly and outgoing mancat is there to welcome them. 

Come see for yourself! Gizmo is about 7 years old, neutered, microchipped, and up-to-date on all his vaccinations. He has tested negative for FIV and FeLV.  And yes, he's really and truly as cute as he looks in these pictures. :)

International Box Day :)

We've never met a cat who didn't like boxes.  Come to think of it, it seems that most animals we've ever met kind of enjoy being in, on and around them.  It's a phenomenon that's been noted by pet bloggers the world over, and today is the day to celebrate the unabashed love that animals have for boxes. :)

Sarah - Friendship and Trust

The transition to life at PAWS hasn't been easy for our beautiful friend Sarah.   The sights, smells and sounds of a shelter can be overwhelming, especially for sensitive kitties like her.  But as we've found time and again, consistent love, kindness and patience often help cats like Sarah realize that people aren't so bad.  She's not exactly a lap cat yet, but as you can see from these pictures, she definitely enjoys hanging out with her human pals.  She also loves playing with laser toys!

It's not clear why Sarah waited until now to turn a new page. We're just glad she finally did. :)

Sarah is about 10 years old, spayed and up-to-date on her vaccinations. She has tested negative for FIV and FeLV. She would do best in a quieter home with no children or other cats.
