Maggie Two on Tuesday

Maggie 2 is one of the shelter's newest residents.  This petite girl has already proven to be super sweet and incredibly photogenic.  Just look at those cute paws.  And that adorable face! :)

Thankful Thursday and 200 Posts

Hi, it's me, Moosey!  Mom, Dad, Sammy and I just realized this is our 200th post!  As we look back (and look forward), we have so very much for which to be thankful.

We are thankful to have this blog to share a bit of our lives, and about mom and dad's volunteer experiences with the wonderful and adoptable PAWS cats.  We're thankful for all of the volunteers and staff at PAWS and places like it, where animals can stay as long as it takes to find their forever homes.  And we're grateful to have made so many dear blogging friends from all over the globe ... your kind and encouraging words and continued friendship mean more to us than you can ever know.

Speaking of blogging friends, we wanted to give BIG purrs and thanks to our pals Ann, Maggy and Zoey at Zoolatry for our fantastic new blog header and template.  We hope you all love our new look as much as we do!

Hugs, purrs and THANKS to you all. :)

Sam and Tiger: Love Heals

For anyone who has ever wondered if they can really make a difference...

Tiger and Sam
were absolutely terrified when they first came to the shelter. Our hearts ached each time we saw them cower in the back of their shared cage, shying away from our touch and afraid to make eye contact with us. :(

But after weeks of being consistently showered by volunteers with gentle, patient and consistent kindness, these boys are coming out of their shells in a big way. Handsome house panther Sam is the more outgoing of the pair, and is quick to cruise around the room during "out time." As for Tiger, well ... I'll let this video of him (and my hand) speak for itself. :)

Tiger and Sam are very attached, and must be adopted together. They are neutered, up to date on all their vaccinations, and have tested negative for FeLV and FIV. They would do best in a quieter home with no other pets or small children.

Just a few toes (and the adoptable cats to whom they belong) for your Tuesday viewing pleasure. :)

International Box Day

Today is International Box Day on the Cat Blogosphere!

We've never met a cat who didn't love boxes. After all, boxes are great for scratching, jumping on, and hiding in. And as our very own sweet Sammy (a PAWS graduate) demonstrates here ... boxes are also great for sleeping in. :)

Sammy: Um, can you put away the camera, Dad? I'm trying to sleep here...

Happy International Box Day, everybody! :)
