Sunday Selfie with Our New Kid Ava!

As many of you know, our beloved Zoe made her journey to the Rainbow Bridge this past September. We were all devastated by her loss - especially her sister and littermate, Gracie - but we knew Zoe and our other angels would be watching over us. We also knew that when the time was right, Zoe would bring another kitty into our lives. Well, guess what? It's happened. And she chose another housepanther! Without further ado, here's the newest member of our family (and Gracie's new sister), Ava!

Ava (formerly known as Theta) was first adopted from PAWS as a kitten. Sadly, the family who adopted her had a dog, of whom Ava was terrified. From what we know, she hid in the attic for 9 months, and then the people caught her and brought her back to the shelter. Even with her sweet and gentle nature intact, Ava was (understandably) pretty skittish and shy when she came back. Of course, that meant she wasn't exactly "showing well" to potential adopters. But as we got to know Ava again, we started thinking (thanks, Angel Zoe!) that maybe, just maybe, she would fit into our family, and be a great little sister for Gracie. And after one month with her here as a foster kitty, we knew in our hearts that this is where she belongs. As you can see from the photos, she's gaining in confidence with each passing day. She loves lap time, playing, looking out the windows, laying in sunpuddles and running all over the house. She and sister Gracie aren't curling up together (yet), but they have touched noses, played and been super respectful of each other. 😸

(Almost) Wordless Wednesday with Zatz

As much as we love spending time with our beautiful friend, Zatz, it boggles our minds as to why she's still waiting at PAWS to be discovered by her forever family. As you can see from these photos, this sweet kitty is calm and beautiful, and has gorgeous eyes. 

Zatz also loves her some laptime, so whoever is lucky enough to adopt her will be getting a new best friend AND a warm lap! Zatz is about 9 years old. She gets along with other nice cats, but would be fine as an only kitty. She is spayed, micro-chipped and current on her vaccinations, and has tested negative for FIV and FeLV. All she needs is a chance. Come meet Zatz, and fall in love!

Easy Like Sunday Selfie - Sassy

Here's our sweet and beautiful friend, Sassy, taking a little time out from her snoopervising duties in the PAWS records room to participate in today's Sunday Selfies Blog Hop. She rocked her selfie, don't you think? Just look at that adorable face! And those big round eyes. 😺

Having taken care of her selfie, Sassy also wanted to remind everybuddy to get some rest and relaxation in today. So, here's her "Easy Like Sunday" pose.

Sassy is an amazing kitty. She's loved by the PAWS staff and volunteers alike, but is so ready to find her very own happily ever after. Is it with you?

(Almost) Wordless Wednesday - Belinda

We love our sweet and adoptable friend Belinda! As you can see, she has the most adorable round face, with beautiful eyes that show off her amazing personality. 

What you don't see in these pictures is the other thing that makes Belinda super cute. She's a Manx-mix, so she doesn't have the long tail sported by most kitties. Her lack of tail and roundish body remind us a little bit of a bunny rabbit - even more so when she hops around in the throes of playtime (and she certainly loves playing)! Belinda, who is about 8 years old, came to PAWS when her owner passed away last fall. She is spayed, micro-chipped and current on her vaccinations. She is also outgoing and affectionate, and loves to be petted and sit on laps. Belinda definitely prefers to be an only cat, but promises that she'll be the bestest best friend ever to whoever is lucky enough to adopt her. So, do you feel lucky? 😸

Easy Like Sunday Selfie - Lucy

Check out our beautiful, adoptable housepanther pal, Lucy. She's got this selfie thing down to a science!😻

As you can see from this next photo, she's also pretty adept at doing the Easy. Don't you just love how the bed matches her eyes?

 

Lucy is a longtime PAWS resident, but we are glad she is here, where she is well-love and cared for. 

Lucy is a cautious kitty, but is fine with staff and volunteers she knows and trusts. All she needs is a quiet and patient home, where she will have the chance to flourish as we know she can. Lucy is about 10 years old, spayed, micro-chipped, and current on her vaccinations. She has tested negative for FIV and FeLV. Won't you please consider giving Lucy the chance she so deserves?

(Almost) Wordless Wednesday - Ulysses

Can you believe that our adoptable pal, Ulysses, was found as a stray? Just imagine ... all that handsome orange and white floofiness was just wandering around outside in the middle of winter, without a home of his own.

We're sure happy he found his way to PAWS, where he's safe, warm and loved by everyone who meets him. Now all he needs is a forever home. Ulysses is about one year old. He's neutered, micro-chipped, current on his vaccinations and negative for FIV and FeLV. He also happens to be super friendly, playful, and a big fan of snuggles and laps. Sunday Selfies with Everybody's Buddy

Our adoptable friend Rasputin is no longer a kitten, but just look at his face! Does his selfie still have "kitten" written all over it, or what? 

This sweet and funny mancat has some special needs (which you can read more about here), but we know there's a purrfect home out there for Rasputin (aka "Pootie"). And until he finds it, all of us humans at PAWS promise to keep on loving and caring for him!

(Almost) Wordless Wednesday - Cora 💖

We absolutely LOVE our extremely sweet and gentle friend, Cora. And how could we not? Just look at that adorable round face, and those big beautiful eyes. And those paws, complete with (lots of) extra toesies!

8 year-old Cora is the epitome of "snuggly," and a lapcat extraordinaire. She also likes to play (laser toy, anyone?), though moderation is a key, since she does have some arthritis. Cora is spayed, micro-chipped, current on her vaccinations, and negative for FIV and FeLV.  She is on Cosequin and Adequan for her arthritis, but is otherwise in good health. She's SO ready to find her forever loving home. Is it with you?

Meowsling's Sunday Selfie :)

Sweet and beautiful Meowsling is still pretty new at PAWS, so we understood when she was a teeny bit bashful about posing for today's Sunday Selfies. But after some gentle encouragement and friendly pets, this 8-month old kitten stepped right up to the camera. And she positively nailed it, don't you think? 🐱

 

Meowsling is spayed, micro-chipped, current on her vaccinations, and negative for FIV and FeLV. She's still a little shy with new people, but as the PAWS staff and volunteers will attest, she's a real sweetheart who enjoys being petted, and loves playing. Meowsling gets along well with other nice cats and would be a great companion for another young kitty. Come meet her today, and fall in love!

Our new pal Miley isn't just another pretty face. This stunning ladycat also happens to have a wonderful purrsonality to match! 

Miley is about 7 1/2-years old, spayed, micro-chipped, and current on her vaccinations. She has tested negative for FIV and FeLV. Miley is friendly, outgoing and playful, and really loves lap time. She's definitely a calico kitty who defies the stereotype about torties and calicos having what many humans call "tortitude."). Miley is a great cat, and she's so ready to be discovered by her forever family. We hope they find her at PAWS soon.

Quzie's Sunday Selfie

When we asked the the PAWS cats who was willing to volunteer for this week's Sunday selfies, up stepped our adorable little pal, Quzie. Based upon the results, we'd say she's a natural! :) 

Quzie is about one year old. She's very sweet and super playful (she seems to enjoy almost every kind of toy, but from what we've seen, laser toys are her absolute favorite), and loves people. Quzie is spayed, micro-chipped, current on her vaccinations, and has tested negative for FIV and FeLV. She's waiting patiently at PAWS to meet her new forever BFF. Is it you?
