(Almost) Wordless Ferdinand

Say hello to our big, beautiful buddy Ferdinand. This handsome boy has been through quite a journey, but you’d never know it by looking at him now!

Originally found wandering the streets, Ferdinand proved himself to be a true survivor. Back in November 2024, he was diagnosed with Feline Infectious Peritonitis (FIP) and immediately began antiviral treatment. Three months of treatment plus another three months of observation later, we got the best news ever… Ferdinand beat FIP!

Now fully cured and feeling fantastic, Ferdinand is ready to trade in his street-cat past for a loving forever home. He’s one year old, neutered, up to date on vaccinations, and rocking the most gorgeous tabby tuxedo you’ll want to snuggle up to every day.

This gentle giant loves people and gets along well with other nice cats, making him the perfect addition to many kinds of homes. Ferdinand has survived a lot, but what he’s really waiting for now is someone to love him for life. Could that be you? Come meet him at PAWS today!

Like our beloved Target, Ferdinand has tested positive for FIV (feline immunodeficiency virus), but it's important to remember this does not mean he can't live a long and happy life. According to Best Friends Animal Society, "FIV-positive cats can live normal lives, both in quality and duration. They just need to be monitored for infections and dental issues. But if they’re well cared for, they can be healthy, happy, wonderful pets." FIV cannot be passed to other cats through casual contact, or by sharing food, water, or a litter box. Nor can it be passed to people or other pet species.

Sweet Brioche's Selfies

Our sweet and adoptable pal Brioche is such a special kitty. We’re so grateful that she found her way to PAWS just in time.

When Brioche first arrived, she seemed a little cranky, but what we couldn’t see was that she was actually very sick. During her spay surgery, the vet discovered a life-threatening uterine infection --
she wouldn’t have survived much longer on the streets. Thankfully, she received the care she needed, and now she’s feeling healthy and happy again. And what a transformation it’s been!

Brioche, who is about one year old, has blossomed into one of the sweetest, most affectionate cats you could ever meet. She absolutely loves people, adores getting pets and attention, and is a true lap cat through and through. She also enjoys the company of other nice kitties. Brioche is spayed, microchipped, fully vaccinated, and ready to start her new life with a family who will love her as much as she loves them. Come meet this little survivor and see for yourself -- she just might be the perfect addition to your home! πŸΎπŸ’•

(Not so) Wordless: Cute Kittens at PAWS!

It’s summertime, which means it's the very height of kitten season at PAWS. And this year has been an especially busy one. The silver lining is that there’s an absolute preponderance of cute-as-can-be babies just waiting to be discovered by their forever families. Take, for instance, our buddies Cheerio and Corn Flake. Are they the most darling little cereal duo you’ve ever seen, or what?!

Cheerio
Corn Flake

Cheerio is a buff-colored tabby with the sweetest personality and a knack for snuggles, while his brother Corn Flake is a mini black house panther with a big purr and even bigger charm. At just about 3 months old, these bonded bros are neutered, up-to-date on their age-appropriate vaccinations, and already showing off their friendly, loving nature. All kittens at PAWS must be adopted in pairs, so Cheerio and Corn Flake would love to head off to their forever home together (double the kittens, double the love!).

Of course, these two aren’t the only irresistible babies currently calling the shelter their temporary home. Kitten season means PAWS has so many playful, snuggly little ones who are ready to meet you. Like the cuties in this super fun video captured by our friend and fellow volunteer Maggie (Thank you, Maggie!).

If you’ve been thinking about adding some kitten joy to your life, now’s the perfect time. Come meet Cheerio, Corn Flake, and all the other sweet faces waiting at PAWS today -- you might just meet your new best friends! πŸΎπŸ’•

Selfies by Sesame Bean

Look who volunteered to pose for this week's selfie. It’s our sweet and snuggly pal Sesame Bean. Don't you love her gorgeous green eyes and purrfect black eyeliner? And her adorable pink nose?

Sesame Bean is about one year old, and came to PAWS after being found as a friendly stray. We don’t know much about her past, but one thing’s for sure ... this girl has nothing but love to give. The moment you start talking sweet to her, she revs up her purr motor like it’s going out of style. Add in some gentle pets or scritches, and she purrs even louder!

This beautiful tabby has striking stripes and spots, a heart of gold, and the snuggliest personality you could ever ask for. She loves people, enjoys cuddle time, and gets along well with other nice cats. Whether you’re looking for a lap warmer, a nap buddy, or someone to share your heart (and maybe your pillow), Sesame Bean is your girl. She’s spayed, microchipped, up-to-date on her vaccinations, and ready to find her happily ever after. Could Sesame Bean be your new best friend? Come meet her and see if it’s love at first purr!

(Almost) Wordless Kitten Siblings!

What could be cuter than one little housepanther kitten? In the case of brother Red Fish and sister One Fish, it's crystal clear the answer to that question is TWO little housepanther kittens!

Red Fish. Take a look at his awesome polydactyl paws!
One Fish. We love the sweet white badge on her chest!

These little sweethearts are playful, snuggly, and all around wonderful. They are about six months old, and are bonded siblings who must be adopted together. We'd definitely say that's a win, though, since it means double the fun and double the love for whoever is lucky enough to adopt them! Red Fish and One Fish are neutered and spayed, respectively, and current on their vaccinations. They adore their human friends, get along well with the other kittens in their open room, and are so ready to be be discovered by their forever family. Come meet them at PAWS today and fall in love!

Selfies by Ruger

Look who raised his gentle paw when we asked for a volunteer for this week's selfie. It's our sweet and adoptable buddy Ruger!

Ruger -- who is about a year old -- has gorgeous long white and black fur (including a floofy all-black tail). Add in that adorable pink nose and those bright yellow eyes, and you’ve got a total head-turner. But he’s not just a handsome face. Ruger also happens to be a well-mannered little gentleman with a stellar purrsonality.

This amazing dude was found wandering outside all by himself as an older kitten, but he hasn’t let his rough start dull his shine. After he adjusted to being at the shelter, he's really begun coming out of his shell. He enjoys being pet, soaking up attention, and just generally making the world a better place by being his delightful self. He also gets along with other nice cats.

Ruger is neutered, up to date on all his vaccinations, and ready to settle into his forever home. He’s all set -- he just needs a family to love. Could that be yours? Come meet him at PAWS today!

(Almost) Wordless Gorgon

We hope you're ready for some handsome, orange-y, middle-of-the-week mancat awesomeness, because here comes our adorable and adoptable friend Gorgon.

Yes, he really is as sweet and loving as he looks.

You may be able to tell from the first and third photos that Gorgon loves having his tummy rubbed. We were more than happy to cater to his whims after taking these photos.

This stunning two-year-old tabby ended up at PAWS after being found as a stray. His sweet and gentle nature has already made him a favorite among the shelter volunteers and staff. Gorgon adores people and thrives on affection, so we know he'll be the bestest best friend for whoever is lucky enough to adopt him. He is, however, wary of other cats (sadly, we suspect he may have been bullied while he was out on the streets), so he'd love a forever home where he is the only kitty. He's neutered and up to date on all his vaccinations, and ready to bring love and happiness into your life. Come meet Gorgon the Great today!

Selfies by Garbanzo

Meet our sweet and adoptable friend GarbanzoIf her stunning good looks don’t grab you right away, just wait until you experience her gentle heart.

Garbanzo is a gorgeous tabby with truly unique orange markings woven into her soft coat -- she’s one of those cats who turns heads and melts hearts. This one-year-old beauty came to PAWS after being abandoned outside by her jerky former people when they moved away.😠 It’s hard to imagine how anyone could leave behind such a lovely little soul, but we’re so grateful she’s safe now, and ready to find the forever family she deserves.

Garbanzo can be just a tiny bit shy with new faces at first, but she warms up quickly -- and once she knows you, you're in. This girl is loyal, loving, and ready to be your lifelong companion. She’s good with humans of all ages, making her a wonderful fit for many kinds of families.

Garbanzo is spayed, up to date on her vaccinations, and eagerly waiting to begin her next chapter.
Come meet your new best friend Garbanzo today -- she’s ready to love you forever. πŸ’›πŸΎ

(Almost) Wordless Sylvia

This beautiful little cutie pie is our pal Sylvia, whose heart is even bigger than her big, soulful eyes.

This petite, grey and white tuxedo ladycat is about 2 ½ years old, though her tiny frame and kitten-like charm might have you guessing younger. Don’t let her size fool you -- this sweet girl has been through a lot, and she’s come out the other side with nothing but love to offer.

Sylvia was rescued as a bottle baby from a tough hoarding situation, and things didn’t get easier right away. Her original adopter became homeless and ended up living in a car, doing their best. Ultimately, Sylvia needed a safer, more stable place to grow. And now she has that. She's safe and happy at PAWS, and finally ready to find a forever home where she can thrive.

Sylvia absolutely adores people. She's the kind of cat who melts into your hands when you pet her and purrs like there's no tomorrow. She’s affectionate, gentle, and so grateful for any love she gets. She also gets along with other friendly cats, so she could also be a good companion for another mellow kitty.

Sylvia is spayed, fully vaccinated, and ready to move in and start her new chapter. Come meet her today and fall in love!

Selfies by Carl Fredrickson

Can you believe that our adoptable pal Carl Fredrickson is as sweet as he is good-looking? It's true!

Carl, who is about three years old, was left behind by the people who were supposed to be his family.  (Reminder: pets are not disposable. If you're not ready to commit to their whole lives, maybe rethink the whole adoption thing. Just saying.) Thanks to some kind humans, he's now safe at PAWS, where he's finally getting the love he deserves.

Anyway, despite being abandoned, Carl is still a total sweetheart. This long-haired tuxedo gentleman is gentle, affectionate, and has the most expressive eyebrow whiskers you’ve ever seen. He’s also rocking a fantastic set of paws -- it's like he’s part cat, part teddy bear!

Carl is good with other nice cats and kind humans of all ages. He’s neutered, up to date on all his shots, and ready to start the next chapter of his life with someone who actually deserves him. All he needs now is for someone to say “you’re home.” Could it be you?

(Almost) Wordless Symphony

As you can see from these photos, our beautiful and adoptable friend Symphony knows a thing or two about posing for the camera.

This sweet brown tabby had it pretty rough before she found her way to PAWS. Symphony was abandoned and discovered in very poor condition, but made an incredible recovery thanks to the loving care of her foster family. After months of rest, healing, and plenty of TLC, Symphony is now thriving — and so, so ready to be adopted!

Symphony is about 2 years old, spayed, current on her vaccinations, and ready to start the next chapter of her life. She’s a true delight -- happy, super friendly, and deeply affectionate. She loves spending time with her human friends and gets along well with other nice cats.

If you’re looking for a gentle soul with a loving heart and a story of strength, Symphony might be your perfect match. She’s ready for her happily ever after. Could it be with you?
