Sister Selfies: Zoey and Zsa Zsa

Sometimes the most wonderful cats just need a little extra time to show the world who they really are. That’s certainly the case with Zoey and Zsa Zsa, two gentle and beautiful sisters who are now ready to find the loving forever home they deserve!

  

Zsa Zsa

Zoey, Zsa Zsa, and their brother Zack (who has already been adopted) were born in a feral cat colony. Because they weren’t captured until they were about 4 months old, they didn’t have much experience with people at first. When they arrived at PAWS, they were pretty unsure about these strange new humans. But thanks to the love, patience, and care of the volunteers and staff, they’ve learned that people can be pretty wonderful after all.

Zoey

While Zoey and Zsa Zsa are still a little cautious in new situations (and with new folks), they’re blossoming more every day. Once they get to know you, their sweet and gentle personalities truly shine. They love being pet, playing, and just checking out the scene from the window of their room. These two sisters have always been together, and it would be absolutely wonderful if they could be adopted as a pair. But they’d also do beautifully in a home with another friendly, welcoming kitty companion. Zoey and Zsa Zsa are about 1 1/2 years old, spayed, microchipped, and current on their vaccinations. (Almost) Wordless Catcher

Meet our handsome new friend, Catcher -- and wow, is he ever a stunner! This sleek black house panther is as charming as he is gorgeous, with big, expressive paws that inspired his perfect name. Just look at those mitts!

 

Catcher came from a litter born to a feral mom, but it didn’t take long for his rescuer to realize that this boy was special. Friendly, affectionate, and totally people-oriented, Catcher was clearly meant to be someone’s beloved forever friend.

He’s about 8 months old, neutered, microchipped, and up to date on all his vaccinations. Catcher is playful, snuggly, and full of personality -- the kind of cat who will make you smile every single day. He also gets along beautifully with other nice cats.

We hope you're ready to be charmed, because our lovely, affectionate friend Winnie B. Mason is the next shining star of the Sunday Selfies Blog Hop!

 

This beautiful tuxedo lady -- who comes complete with an adorable stripe down the middle of her face -- found her way to PAWS as a very pregnant mama cat. She went into foster care with one of the rescue's amazing foster parents, who also happens to be a teacher. Wouldn't you know, when Winnie B. gave birth to her kittens in July, they were affectionately nicknamed the"Back to School" litter. 💕

 

Winnie B. was an incredibly attentive and loving mother, and now she’s ready for her turn to find a forever family. Just 1¼ years old, his ladycat is super sweet, gentle, and adores people of all ages. She also gets along beautifully with other cats. Winnie B. Mason is spayed, microchipped, current on her vaccinations, and 100% ready to fill your home with love and purrs. Come meet her today and fall in love!

Selfies by Jason

Check out our adorable and adoptable friend Jason. He was a little shy when we first met him this weekend, choosing to stay in the cozy confines of his cage even though the door was wide open. But with some quiet conversation, gentle pets, and a little encouragement, out he came!

 

Once he was out, Jason transformed from a cautious observer into a playful, affectionate kitty. He leaned in for snuggles, purred his heart out, and showed us just how much fun he can be. He's curious, gentle, and full of love. 💖

(Almost) Wordless Sharknado

Meet our buddy Sharknado! This young grey mancat is all about fun, fun, and more fun. :) He’s active, playful, and ready to turn every day into a party.

 

 

Sharknado throws himself into playtime with total abandon, which is why he’d do best as the only cat in his new home (and without little kids around). He’ll need an adopter who’s ready to match his energy and keep him entertained. Laser toys? Yes, please. Bug-on-a-wire toys? His absolute favorite! We always have the best time when we visit him at PAWS.

 

This athletic, confident boy is about a year old. He was found as a stray, but he’s so affectionate and people-friendly that it’s clear he’s been loved before. Sharknado is neutered, microchipped, and current on his vaccinations. He’s ready to meet his forever future playmate -- could it be you? 💖

(Almost) Wordless Mavis

Our new friend Mavis is absolutely stunning. This gorgeous girl has silky black fur and, to make her even more unforgettable, a fluffy grey mane that gives her the look of a tiny lioness!

 

 

Mavis is affectionate, snuggly, gentle, and curious. She absolutely adores people and loves spending quality time with her human pals. According to the description on her cage card, she came to PAWS when “the dynamics in her home had changed.” We don’t know exactly what that means, but we do know this: Mavis is wonderfully people-friendly and ready for a fresh start!

 

 

Mavis would prefer to be your one and only. She hasn’t had the best experiences with dogs or other cats, but the upside is clear -- whoever adopts her will get all of her love and attention, with no sharing required.💖

 

Two-year-old Mavis is spayed, microchipped, up-to-date on her vaccinations, and completely ready to move into her forever home. Could it be with you?

 

Selfies by Micha

Our beautiful friend Micha came to PAWS with her sister after their family moved and was no longer able to keep them. While her sister adjusted quickly and has already found a new home, sensitive Micha struggled at first with the unfamiliar sights, sounds, and smells of the shelter.

 

Don't worry ... Micha's story gets better. With time, patience, and lots of love from her human pals, she has begun to reveal her true personality -- and what a delight it is! She’s sweet, playful, and affectionate. Want proof? Just take a look at these photos from our recent visit with Micha. The session was filled with trackball games, headbonks, and plenty of snuggles.

(Almost) Wordless McFlurry

Meet our sweet, sensitive friend McFlurry! This handsome dude has been through a lot in his young life, but we have no doubt whatsoever there's a lifetime of happiness in his future.

 

McFlurry was bounced from home to home, and even found himself out on the streets for a time. Because he’s such a gentle boy, life outdoors was really hard on him. We're so glad he's now being loved and cared for at PAWS. At about 2 ½ years old, McFlurry is ready to leave the uncertainty of his past behind. He gets along well with other nice cats, and while he can be shy with new people, he warms up beautifully once he feels safe. We know this sweet boy will positively blossom in a quiet, loving home with his forever family.

McFlurry is neutered, current on his vaccinations, and ready to meet the people who will give him the safe, happy life he deserves. Come meet him today, and fall in love!

Like our beloved Target, McFlurry has tested positive for FIV (feline immunodeficiency virus), but it's important to remember this does not mean he can't live a long and happy life. According to Best Friends Animal Society, "FIV-positive cats can live normal lives, both in quality and duration. They just need to be monitored for infections and dental issues. But if they’re well cared for, they can be healthy, happy, wonderful pets." FIV cannot be passed to other cats through casual contact, or by sharing food, water, or a litter box. Nor can it be passed to people or other pet species.
