Meet our tabby friend, Sheba. Isn't she beautiful? Sheba came to PAWS after she had trouble adjusting to a new human baby in her house. We can imagine that after years of being the child of the house, Sheba was confused and scared by the new little human's arrival. When we first met her, Sheba would literally sit with her back to us, staring at the back corner of her cage. It made us so very sad. But with love, patience and affection from the volunteers and staff, our "Sheebie" is starting to come out of her shell. She now faces the front of the cage, loves catnip, and even gives cheek rubs to her favorite human friends. :)
Sheba is about 15 years old, spayed, microchipped, and up to date on all her vaccinations. She has tested negative for FIV and FeLV. She has lots of love to give, and would do best in a quiet home with no children or other animals. Won't you give her the chance she so deserves?

How sad to lose your home after so many years. No wonder she was facing the wall! And we're sure her old family must have felt bad about giving her up. We hope a loving family finds her soon so Sheba's life can get back on track.
Meeting Moosey's esteemed mom and dad was the highlight of BlogPaws! You are every bit as nice and sweet as the mom thought! She is so excited that she had time to spend with you, and hopes to do it again next year.
Oh, and thanks for the help trashing, Moosey! Who knew you were such a wild man!
Aw, poor girl! I am glad someone (YOU GUYS ROCK) is taking the time to make her feel loved and loving again. We gotted a little leaky when you said she rubbed cheeks on her favorite Humans. I hope she finds a furever home soon XOXOXO
Oh such a sweetie...
You are all PAWSOME to give her so much patience and love. Bless you.
Glogirly says she was THRILLED to meet you at BlogPaws!!!! She thinks you both are amazing and wonderful.

I hope there is a great home out there for Sheba!
My human says it was great meeting you both at BlogPaws and she wishes she could have spent more time with you!
Sheba looks so sad it made Mum want to cry for her being unable to adapt to the baby. We hope someone will fall in love with her soon and take her home to be pampered.
Luv Hannah and Lucy xx xx
It makes us happy that this sweet kitty was given the chance to learn to feel safe and loved again. We wish her a good home!

It made us very sad that Sheba was given up because she couldn't adjust to a new human baby. :( After having been the only baby for 15 years!
We're glad PAWs gave her their all to help her come out of her shell. Well done, everyone!
Her white marking between her eyes is so much like our Ling's. :)
Dang, how could some human give up a beauty like Sheba in favor of a blurpy? We purr that she can find another home, but we know she is in good hands at PAWS.
The mom said she so enjoyed meeting you and Tracey at BlogPaws!
Aw poor little Sheebie... best wishes for her!
She is so beautiful. Nothing sweeter than a tabby. Know she will have no trouble finding a forever home.

I am trying to rebuild the email addresses and new TCC member list. I am not sure what Mahoney's email address is and want to make sure you get the emails about the club.
She is such a sweet looking ladycat. Of COURSE it was hard on her! We hope she finds the most wonderful purrfect home soon.

Oh poor baby, her story made me very sad. I can't imagine how difficult it is for her to lose her home after so many years. I'm glad she is recovering from sadness and thank you to wonderful people at PAWS! I hope she finds forever family who loves her dearly.

We wonder if she really couldn't adjust, or if her previous humans just couldn't be bothered helping her. Poor sweetheart. We're sending her purrs that she'll find a wonderful human to take her in.
Our own human sometimes thinks that after we're gone, it would be so worthwhile to adopt senior kitties like this, if she can manage financially. So surely there must be someone for lovely Sheba.
Argh. Some People are beyond understanding!! We hope Sheba finds someone to love her during her golden years. . . more than she was ever loved by a family who gave her up after all those years with them!!
the critters in the cottage xo
Poor Sheba, that must be so jarring for her. I'm glad the love of the PAWS people is helping her to feel better.
I hope she finds her new home very quickly.
My mom person came home talking all about you & Tracey and how great it was to finally get to you both!

That poor dear lady, and yes, she is stunning gorgeous.
Oh dear, ousted out from her family after 15 years, no wonder she looks sad. Miracles can and do happen so we're asking for one.
She is so sweet. How sad that she had to leave her home after 15 years! I hope someone will have it in their heart to give her a fur-ever home.
aaww...Sheeba is so cute! I hope she finds a loving home.
We just hate hearing about owner surrender and especially a very senior girl. We cannot imagine how anyone could live with a kitty that long and turn her in. We are glad she is with your rescue and we know that the right home will come for her, she is such a beauty.
Thank you for all that you do! Its terrible when people do stuff like that. There are always ways to help kitties and doggies adjust but new pawents sometimes don't want to try. I will share in hopes she finds a furever home that will love her no matter what.
aw, poor Sheba! we are glad you were there for her and she is adjusting. She sure has beautiful whiskers! and a great stink eye, hee hee! Sheba, we will purr you'll have a new and fabulous forever home soon!

A new baby and becoming second fiddle are tough adjustments for a senior girl! We hope beautiful Sheba refinds her trust with the perfect forever family who can make her the focus of all their love!
Wow, what a sad story, our hearts break for her. We are very happy though that she ended up with the fantastic volunteers at PAWS where she will get tons of love and good care and hopefully come even more around to trusting humans again. We send our hugest purrs her way for her to find an amazing forever home that cherishes her so.
Sheba is indeed quite beautiful. We hope this senior lady finds a home that appreciates all she has to offer.
15 years old and given up to a shelter? Grrrr.... sharing.

That's too sad story about Sheba~!!
We sincerely hope she will find a good forever home! She is a great girl~
Sheba is adorable! It must have been such a shock for her when the new human baby came along. Poor Sheba! We are glad that she's starting to accept the love and affection the PAWS volunteers and staff are giving her. We really hope she finds a great home soon!
Poor Sheba - so often people seem to get rid of the cat when they have a baby. What a shame, but let's hope she finds a new and loving home for the rest of her life.
We wish humans would try harder to help cats adjust to new things at home. Hope she finds a wonderful forever home this time.
