FURever Home Friday :)

Do you remember last week's post about our sweet and adorable friend Vine, who found herself back at PAWS after many years? Well guess what? The day after our post went live, Vine was officially adopted!
According to Vine's new mom, she has settled right in.  Check out these pictures of Vine and her new human brother. Their proximity and body language show they have become close and fast buddies. (note: we were asked to crop out Vine's brother's face for privacy reasons.)
Vine's new family just happens to be good friends with our fellow PAWS volunteer Maria, so we've already gotten a heartwarming report. Maria spoke with Vine's mom, and says that, "Vine is doing great!  She is exploring the whole house, and she especially enjoys watching the sun rise from her perch on the back of the couch.  When she jumped onto the piano keys with the top shut, and then looked at the top of the piano where there were pictures and other fragile items, her mom said, 'No Vine.' And Vine just jumped down! They are just thrilled with her; she has acclimated herself so well to their family."

Do you remember handsome, smiley-faced Andrew (aka Hobo)? He found his very own forever home, too!

Here's the full list of recent PAWS graduates!

And finally, here are two more happy tails (tales) that came in this week...

Bastet (I renamed her Bella) rules her new home! She uses her litterbox and seems okay with her food (vet has placed her on a weight-loss diet and she is down about a pound). Bella has had her vaccine updates; she visits the vet once a month for her weigh-in and to get her claws trimmed. She is a great cat and we adore her. Thank you!
Bella, looking very comfortable and happy
In a few weeks Davey will mark two years with us so I thought you would like to see how he’s doing. Davey is a joy. He remains full of mischief, something that appears to be part of his personality rather than simply what was kitten behavior. He is sweet and funny and, as ever, very playful. Miki and Davey are best buddies snuggling together or being close by each other.  It is so sweet.

Davey and Miki are BFFs!
Have a great weekend, everybody! :)

Vine's new dad here - she has adjusted very well (and has used the litter box every time !!!) - my mother, who comes over to put our younger son on the bus in the morning, lost her cat last year so she offered to stay around in the morning to "help Vine adjust" which apparently means lying on the couch so that Vine could sleep on her stomach. The blog post and story really touched me and within 24 hours Vine was in our house, 24 hours after that, it seems like she has always been here. Thank you to Maria and Paige for the help and all of the folks at PAWS.
