This is our friend Liam. Isn't he gorgeous? Truth be told, he reminds us a lot of our dear, sweet Angel Sammy. :)
When Liam was found as a stray, his tail was so badly dislocated that it had to be amputated. He's all healed up now, and doing just fine sans tail. What's most remarkable about Liam is his sweet and gentle nature ... we're all but certain that he had his own humans at one time. He loves being pet, gets along well with other kitties, and would love a home where snuggles and couch time reign supreme. Liam is about 8 years old, neutered, micro-chipped and current on all of his vaccines. He has tested negative for FIV and FeLV. Liam is waiting at PAWS, in Norwalk, CT, to meet his new best friend. Liam is remarkable friendly and easy going despite his time on the streets and his injury. We are so lucky he ended up at PAWS - the poor guy must have been in a lot of pain. Now to get him a good home to complete his Cinderfella story.

Oh, I love Liam's tail tale. He is such a handsome boy. Many years ago, we rescued a Birman who lost his tail in an accident. He did great!

Liam is such a gorgeous and loving cat. But this morning I looked at all the cats on your header, and I felt incredibly sad. Each one is a precious creature worthy of love and safety. And each represents hundreds of others that never made to your place, or anyplace, for that matter.
And what are we doing for them? Bickering amongst ourselves over the best course of action. Failing to see anything but our own convictions. Meantime, nothing ever changes, and the cats continue to suffer..... well, except for the few that make it to you.
But wouldn't it be wonderful if, someday, we didn't need shelters anymore?
