Selfies by Sweet and Adoptable Gypsy

Look who volunteered to take this week's selfie. It's our beautiful, loving, and adoptable housepanther friend Gypsy!

Gypsy found her way to PAWS when she and her human sadly lost their home. We can only imagine the heartbreak they both felt over being unable to stay together. During her time here, Gypsy has shown herself to be an outgoing and friendly ladycat who adores people (read: she is a lapcat and a snuggle-buddy)! One thing she does NOT like is other felines, so she must go to a quiet home without cats or small children. She is 100% a love, though! The first photo above is proof of this ... it was taken when Gypsy plopped down between us -- happy as a clam -- for some sweet snuggles. She was purring the whole time! 1 1/2 year old Gypsy is spayed, current on her vaccinations, and negative for FIV and FeLV. Doesn't a nice warm lap and a hearty helping of love sound like the perfect antidote for the cooler months ahead? Come meet Gypsy today!

It's Sunday, which means we're hopping along in the Sunday Selfies Blog Hop, hosted by our pals at The Cat On My Head. Be sure to check it out to see who else is hopping along (or to join in on the fun)!

(Almost) Wordless Syd

We interrupt this program to bring you a big serving of mid-week handsomeness - with some premium sides of sweet, friendly, and gentle - courtesy of our adoptable buddy Syd.

Syd, who is only about two years old, came to PAWS after being unceremoniously tossed out of his home by his former "humans." They clearly don't deserve to have ANY animal, much less one as loving and purrfect as Syd. Those of you wondering how Syd is doing with all of this will be happy to know he's taking it all in stride, and enjoying the love and attention he is getting from the nice volunteers and staff at the shelter. He is neutered, current on his vaccinations, negative for FIV and FeLV, and ready to find his genuine forever home. To know him is to love him, so come meet Syd today!

Savannah Selfies

Our buddy Savannah may be new at the shelter, but we can already see she has lots of experience in front of the camera. When we asked if she wanted to pose for today's selfies, she meowed "yes," and then promptly put on a clinic. Just look!

Savannah is so new to PAWS that we don't yet know a lot about her. We can say for sure that she is sweet, super friendly, and enjoys spending time with her human pals. According to her cage card, she's about 3 years old, spayed, current on her vaccinations, and negative for FIV and FeLV. One thing we DO know is that Savannah is ready to find her happily ever after. Could it be with you?

(Almost) Wordless Shaggy

Our super handsome buddy Shaggy was so scared when he first arrived at PAWS. He was obviously a very gentle dude, but we could see he was clearly overwhelmed by the unfamiliar sights and sounds of the shelter. At first, he'd just cower in the back of his cage, not daring to come forward. He liked when the volunteers and staff would sit with him, but wasn't real keen on the idea of stretching his legs during his scheduled "out" time. Well, the Shagster was recently moved to an open room with other nice cats, and just look at him now!

Seriously, could this mancat be any cuter? Even though he can still be a little shy when meeting new people, it does not take him long to warm up to whoever is lucky enough to visit him! One year-old Shaggy is gentle as a lamb, gets along well with the other nice cats in his room, adores playing, and loves being pet by his human buddies. He's neutered, current on his vaccinations, and negative for FIV and FeLV. This dude is so ready to find his happily ever after! All Shaggy needs now is a forever best friend. Could that be you?

Selfies with Autumn and Tig

Check out our new pals Autumn and Tig. We spent a bunch of time this weekend with these two cuties, and we can tell you they are super sweet and super friendly!

Autumn
Tig

Tig and Autumn, who are about 4 years old, came to PAWS because they were very frightened of the new human baby in their home. While it makes us sad that things could not be worked out there, we are glad this super gentle bonded pair can now find their true forever home where they will feel safe and loved. They get along well with other nice cats, and adore their human buddies, but should definitely go to a home without small children. Tig is neutered and Autumn is spayed. Both are current on their vaccinations and negative for FIV and FeLV. These sweethearts are so ready to find their happily ever after. Could it be with you?

(Almost) Wordless Sassy and Apple

Our new friends Sassy and Apple wound up at PAWS when their owner became ill and could no longer keep them. The very thought of that makes our hearts hurt, but we are so glad these sweet mancats are being loved and cared for while they wait to be discovered by their new forever family. As you can see, handsome housepanther Sassy has already begun to adjust to his new surroundings. His terrific tabby brother Apple isn't quite as convinced yet, but he is definitely making some progress.

Sassy
Apple is about 4 years old, and Sassy is about 2 years old. They are both neutered, current on their vaccinations, and negative for FIV and FeLV. Both boys get along well with other nice cats. Sassy loves being pet and getting attention from his human buddies. With the progress that Apple is making, we're pretty sure he'll join Sassy in the "liking lots of attention from people" camp in the not so distant future. And we are supremely confident that they will both blossom once they are in a loving forever home. Come meet these guys today, and fall in love!

Easy Like Sunday Selfies - Kitten Style

There aren't many things that are cuter than a big ol' pile of snuggly kittens. And that's exactly what greeted us in Room C4 at PAWS on Saturday afternoon. See for yourself! Are these little sweethearts not the cutest???

It's been a super long kitten season this year, so there are still quite a few young kitties (there are also others in addition to these!) at PAWS waiting to find their happily ever afters. We have our paws crossed that they'll all be adopted real soon, but in the meantime, they're getting lots of snuggles and playtime with the volunteers and staff at the shelter. 💖

It's Sunday, which means we're hopping along in the Sunday Selfies Blog Hop, hosted by our pals at The Cat On My Head. Be sure to check it out to see who else is hopping along (or to join in on the fun)!

(Almost) Wordless Camilla

We will never understand how some humans can just abandon pet animals, leaving them to fend for themselves. But that's exactly what seems to have happened to our gorgeous friend Camilla, who was found as a stray. This young ladycat is as sweet as she is beautiful, so we just can't imagine why someone would dump her, but there you go. Thankfully, Camilla is now safe and loved while she waits at PAWS to be discovered by her forever loving family.

Camilla is only about 10 months old. Besides having the sweetest meow, she loves her human pals and gets along with other nice cats. She is spayed, current on her vaccinations, and negative for FIV and FeLV. All she needs now is her very own happily ever after. We sure hope it finds her soon.

Miss McGee's Selfies

This is our beautiful and super gentle friend Miss McGee. We were over the moon when she raised her paw to pose for this week's selfie. That's because when she first arrived at PAWS, she was SO scared and nervous that she really didn't want anything to do with any of us. Well, as you can see, this ladycat has come a long, long way!

Miss McGee had a home at one point, but was abandoned. Thankfully, after being rescued, she lived with a nice lady for about five months, and got some great medical care before coming here. The adjustment to being at a shelter is particularly tough for shy cats like McGee, but with lots of love, snacks, and patient interaction, she has made amazing progress. She now loves being pet, adores chin scritches, and enjoys getting brushed. It's quite a leap for a kitty who used to hide her face, avoid eye contact, and hide in the corner! McGee is only about 1 1/2 years old. She is spayed, current on her vaccinations, and negative for FIV and FeLV. She is truly a love. All she needs now is a forever loving home. Could it be with you?
