(Almost) Wordless Wednesday - Merrie

Our pal Merrie is as fun as she is beautiful. Which means she's really, really fun! 😸 

Just one year old, Merrie came to PAWS after being found as a stray. She's super friendly (she's an official greeter in her open room), playful, and gets along with other nice cats. Merrie is spayed, microchipped, current on her vaccinations, and negative for FIV and FeLV. Come meet Miss Merrie today!

 

Jimmy's Sunday Selfies

So, there we were, looking for a volunteer for this week's Sunday Selfie, and look who popped his head around the scratching post. It's our handsome, playful and adoptable pal, Jimmy!

Jimmy is just about one year old. He's neutered, microchipped, current on his vaccinations, and negative for FIV and FeLV. He is friendly, enjoys attention from his human pals, and gets along well with the other kitties in his room. Jimmy would be a great addition to almost any family. So ... what are you waiting for? (Almost) Wordless Wednesdsay - Lola

If our pal, Lola, looks familiar, it's because she starred in this post back in May. She was adopted soon after, but through no fault of her own, finds herself back at PAWS. As you can see from these photos, she's still utterly adorable. And we can attest that she's as sweet as ever.

Lola is purrfect. All she needs now is to find her happily ever after.

 

Republic's Sunday Selfies

This little cutie pie is our new friend, Republic. There's just something about him that makes us smile whenever we visit his room. As you look at his selfies, we hope that little something makes you smile, too!

Republic is only about 6 months old. He's still a little shy, but with the love and kindness being showered on him by the PAWS volunteers, he's really starting to come out of his shell. Republic likes to play, gets along well with other nice kitties, and would do best in a quieter home with humans who will be patient as he gets used to his new surroundings. He's a good boy who's ready to find his happily ever after. We sure hope he finds it soon.

(Almost) Wordless Wednesday - Violet

Like so much of the United States, we're in a serious cold snap here in Connecticut. Our sweet, beautiful and adoptable friend, Violet, has the right idea, though. Find a good sunpuddle (if you can), and go with it.😸

Violet is about one year old. She's spayed, microchipped, current on her vaccinations, and negative for FIV and FeLV. She loves people, and gets along well with other nice cats. She's just about purrfect. Now all she needs is a forever family.

 

Leon's Sunday Selfies :)

Check out our super handsome and adoptable pal, Leon! He's still kind of new at PAWS, but it's already pretty clear that he enjoys the company of the volunteers and staff at the shelter. As you can see from these photos, Leon's also got some serious selfie skills!

Leon is about 4 years old. He is neutered, microchipped, current on his vaccinations, and negative for FIV and FeLV. As mentioned, he definitely enjoys attention from his human pals. He's not too keen on other cats, though, so he's looking for his very own person to love. Leon will be a purrfect best friend for whoever is lucky enough to adopt him. So, how about it? (Almost) Wordless Wednesday - Kathee

Laser toys, wand toys, pipe cleaners, or bouncy balls ... just about every toy is awesome in the eyes of our playful and adoptable little friend, Kathee. And speaking of eyes, it's clear to see this spunky little ladycat also happens to be straight-up beautiful.

Kathee is only about one year old. She first came to PAWS with five tiny babies, all of whom have now been adopted. Now it's Kathee's turn for her happily ever after (though it will have to be a home where she is your one and only, though, since she does not like other cats). Kathee is spayed, microchipped, current on her vaccinations, and negative for FIV and FeLV. She's all dressed up and ready to go. Come meet Kathee today!

 

Dona Nobis Pacem* #blog4peace

As we do every November 4, we're participating today in the annual "BlogBlast for Peace." Started by Mimi Lenox in 2006, this movement has grown to include thousands of bloggers in hundreds of countries - and countless other folks on various forms of social media - all taking the day to spread messages of love, hope and peace. It's such an important message, especially in these times of divisiveness, tumult, and upheaval.

This year's theme, "Change Your Climate," can certainly be interpreted as having to do with working against global climate change. But it can also mean to do what we can in order to create our own personal climates of peace. We went with the latter, and our peace globe features our sweet and peace-loving angel cat, Moosey, who loved (and was loved by) everybody during his time here on Earth. His loving and accepting nature made him the very embodiment of peace.

Like our sweet angel Moosey, our wish for all beings everywhere is that they have lives and homes that are abundantly full of peace and love. (*Dona Nobis Pacem is Latin for "Grant us peace.")

Easy LIke Sunday Selfie - Chloe

Happy Sunday, everybuddy! Today's selfie is by none other than our sweet, fun, and beautiful friend Chloe. As you can see, she's multi-talented. She's equally skilled at taking selfies AND doing the "Easy Like Sunday Morning" thing. 😸 

We can't for the life of us figure out why this awesome ladycat is still waiting to be discovered. She's awesome, special, and delightful. We're glad that she's at PAWS for now, where she's loved by staff and volunteers alike until she finds her forever home.
