(Almost) Wordless Emily - with short video!

Do you remember our gorgeous, sweet and adoptable friend, Emily? And how we wondered why she was still awaiting her forever home? Well ... we're still wondering.

Emily can be a little shy with new people, so she doesn't always show well to potential adopters. But we're hoping this video will help everyone see that she really is the most loving kitty ever! And why she's a real favorite among the PAWS volunteers and staff. (If the video doesn't play for you, you may also check it out on YouTube)

You can read more about Emily here. She's going to be a great, snuggly best friend for whoever is lucky enough to adopt her!

It's so frustrating when the shy ones get overlooked. Paws crossed that someone sees just how lovely Emily is.

Oh, Emily, what a sweetheart you are. And I saw those air biscuits you were making in that video! Purrs to you, pretty girl!

Goodness, she's lovely! What a sweet girl, no biting, either, when she's getting those rubs. (I've been lucky in that regard with all four of mine.) She will make someone a wonderful companion. I gravitate to the quiet and shy ones, surely there's a good human out there for her who will too!

I love the idea of video! Sometimes, showing families just how sweet these cats can be with the people they trust makes that penny drop--and the adoption happen!

I hope the video helps her get adopted. A lot of people don't understand that pets in shelters react differently once they get into a home.
