Happy MEW Year!

Just as we seem to be every year, we're gobsmacked that it's already time to break out the new calendars.

 

Here are Ava and Target wishing everybuddy an excellent 2026.

 

 Happy MEW Year! Here's hoping the coming year will be full of love, peace, and happiness. We know that will most certainly be the case for the 350 PAWS kitties who found their happily ever afters in 2025. If you follow our blog, chances are you'll recognize some of the faces in this collage of 79 (note: there are a couple of dupes -- can you spot them?) of our friends who are celebrating the New Year in their forever homes!

 

And what better time than now to share a few happy tales? Here are a few adoption updates from 2025, courtesy of fellow PAWS volunteer Beth Siegelbaum's wonderful and joy-inducing "Monthly Meow" newsletter for staff and volunteers. (Click on each image to enlarge.)

Happy Gotcha Day Weekend to our beautiful PAWS graduate Ava. It's so hard to believe it's already been eight years since she first came home with us!

Selfies by Baker (the Biscuit Maker)

Meet Baker Baker Biscuit Maker, a cat who has a name as charming as himself!

 

 

This handsome mancat was found wandering the streets, and it was immediately clear that he hadn’t always been a stray. Baker is exceptionally friendly -- the kind of cat who seems to believe every human was put on this earth specifically to love him. He proves that by constantly “making biscuits,” kneading away with pure joy and enthusiasm (hence his delightfully descriptive name).

 

When we spent time with Baker this weekend, he wasted no time hopping into our laps and settling in like he’d always belonged there. He’s extroverted, affectionate, gentle, and incredibly snuggly -- a total lap-cat package. While we’re still learning how he feels about other cats, we haven’t seen any negative interactions so far, even through cage bars.

Baker Baker Biscuit Maker is 4 years old, microchipped, neutered, and current on all his vaccinations. If you’re looking for a loving companion who will happily curl up with you and knead his way into your heart, Baker may be your perfect match. Come meet him at PAWS today!

Yes, they really are as adorable as they look (even more so in purrson)! Their two litter mates were adopted last weekend, and now Creampuff and Blaze (who must be adopted together) are waiting at PAWS to be discovered by their forever family. Could it be yours?

Goody's Selfies

Goody is a sweet, gentle kitty who’s so ready to find her forever home. She was found caring for her litter of kittens, but the people who took them in only kept the babies, and Goody was left behind (Ed. note: we'll keep our comments about those people G-rated, but let's just say we hope Santa leaves a lump of coal in their stockings). We can't even begin to understand why they didn't keep Goody. She's lovely --  extremely affectionate, snuggly, and full of quiet curiosity.

 

 

Not quite two years old, Goody has beautiful tabby markings with white spots, including on her face and on her adorable paws (look at her cute black toe beans!). She’s microchipped, vaccinated, spayed, and completely ready to find her true happily ever after. Come meet Goody at PAWS today, and fall in love!
