This week's selfie is brought to you by none other than our handsome, snuggly, and adoptable pal Pedro Pusscal. As you can see, he's an honest-to-goodness lapcat. 💖
Now that we're heading into the fall and winter months, who wouldn't want a sweet and purrfect forever best friend like Pedro to warm their lap and heart?
Pedro is about 3 1/2 years old. He is neutered, microchipped, and current on his vaccinations. He's waiting at PAWS to be discovered by his forever family, so come meet him today!
Like our very own beloved Target, Pedro has tested positive for FIV, but it's important to remember this
does not mean he can't live a long and happy life. According to
Best Friends Animal Society, "FIV-positive cats can live normal lives,
both in quality and
duration. They just need to be monitored for infections and dental
issues. But if they’re well cared for, they can be healthy, happy,
wonderful pets." FIV cannot be
passed to other cats through casual contact, or by sharing food, water,
or a
litter box. Nor can it be passed to people or other pet species.

Aww, how lovely to see him having some quality lap time at PAWS. Hopefully folks we see, love and adopt him very soon, as FIV really isn't a reason not to adopt.
