We really enjoyed hanging out this weekend with our friendly, handsome, and adoptable pal Five. Don't you just adore his big round eyes, super stripes, extra front toesies, and adorable pink nose?
Five, who is about 1 1/2 years old, came to PAWS after he was found wandering on the streets and doing his best to fend for himself. He's so friendly that he was once most certainly someone's pet. We don't know how he ended up outside, but are thankful he's safe now, receiving love and care until he finds his happily ever after. This awesome mancat gets along with other kitties, enjoys spending time with his human buddies, is neutered and current on his vaccinations, and is so ready to meet his new best friend. Like our beloved Target, Five has tested positive for FIV (feline immunodeficiency virus), but it's important
to remember this does not mean he can't live a long and happy life.
According to Best Friends Animal Society, "FIV-positive cats can live
normal lives, both in quality and duration. They just need to be
monitored for infections and dental issues. But if they’re well cared
for, they can be healthy, happy, wonderful pets." FIV cannot be passed
to other cats through casual contact, or by sharing food, water, or a
litter box. Nor can it be passed to people or other pet species.

Five is such a beautiful kitty! We adopted a cat that looks really similar to Five to be our official office mascot. He's so friendly and will cuddle with just about anyone. Hoping the best for Five!
